--- Award Winning Teachers ---

We have been choreographing wedding first dance routines for over 10 years and have helped hundreds of happy couples to feel comfortable for their wedding first dance.

--- Fun & Friendly Lessons ---

Getting married is stressful enough without worrying about what you're going to do for your first dance. Let us help take that stress away with our enjoyable lessons.

--- Choreography Designed For You ---

Whether you're just looking for that little bit of confidence with basic steps, or after a fully choreographed routine full of lifts and dips, we've got the moves for you.

With the popularity of Strictly Come Dancing, and the variety of videos on Youtube, many couples now want something more than your average "wedding shuffle".

Be it a classic waltz, a slow foxtrot, sexy salsa, (or even disco!), we have choreographed personalised dances to a wide variety of songs.

Our passion lies with choreographing that first special dance, to your special song. We create the dance in conjunction with you to ensure that it reflects the two of you and your song.

As the choreography progresses we video the two of you dancing so that you have something to refer to between lessons.

For most people we recommend that couples have at least 6 lessons, and ideally attend at least one of our beginner classes, depending on your abilities and requirements.

We pride ourselves on our ability to choreograph first dances to a wide variety of music styles.

There are a variety of options depending on your budget and time constraints. You can see our packages below. Please note that sessions can be doubled up i.e. you can take a 90 minute appointment which would count as 2 sessions from your 45 minute package.

--- You're Too Far Away From Me? ---

That's not a problem! We're also able to offer wedding first dance lessons via Zoom.

When booking in a session you only need to select the 'Zoom' option rather than a standard lesson.

You can also switch between in-person and virtual lessons within the same package.

Top Wedding Tips

Choose a song that means something to the two of you. Let us worry about how you dance to it!

Don't wait until the week before your wedding to think about the first dance. A few months before is a good time to start if you're looking for a simple confidence building routine.

Send the videos of you practicing (that we provide) to your photographer and/or videographer so that they can work out the best angles to capture your routine.

Peter and Gemma Wedding First Dance to MC Hammer U Can't Touch This

Peter and Gemma wanted something a bit more unusual for their First Dance and Antony at Learn To Dance was more than happy to crack out his Street Dance Guide and a YouTube copy of the U Can't Touch This music video to come up with a unique routine just for them. The dance went down a storm with their guests and Gemma & Peter told us that the reception it got will be something they'll always remember.

Andy & Karen Wedding Dance 'Forever and Ever, Amen' by Randy Travis.

Choreographed by Antony Holeksa (Learn To Dance) Karen hails from the United States and when considering their first dance they decided to choose a Country and Western song from home - 'Forever and Ever, Amen' by Randy Travis. Andy had been a regular student with Learn To Dance for a number of years and so we were naturally their first choice when it came to choreographing their first dance.

Tom & Elaine Durance Wedding First Dance

"Antony was a first class dance tutor, an ultimate professional, who helped us with our wedding first dance. Not only did he help us with the moves but he helped us choreograph the dance and edit the music. We really cant thank him enough as it was a first dance that we loved and our friends and family are still talking about. We would both highly recommend Antony." -- Tom and Elaine Durance

Jessica and Jamie's Wedding First Dance to L O V E (originally Nat King Cole)

Jessica and Jamie came to me with a simple request - to recreate one of their favourite Strictly Come Dancing routines, a Foxtrot danced by Erin Boag and Austin Healey. We took the start from the Strictly Foxtrot then gave a variety of moves that would be more suitable for a wedding first dance. "Really pleased with how it went, unfortunately I pull some strange facial expressions which turned it into a comedy, and ruined any photos but it received rapturous applause. Also how good were the band!!! Many thanks for all your help... Jamie and Jessica"

Tom & Jennifer Phillips' Wedding First Dance, 'Evolution of Dance' style

This one was really a challenge, not because of Tom and Jennifer, who had attended our beginner dance classes before we started working on their first dance, but because we only had 7 lessons to choreograph and combine all the song choices. They both did really well and have apparently 'set the standard' for all their friends and family's approaching weddings.

Claire & Andy's Wedding First Dance to You Send Me by Sam Cooke

Choreographed by Antony Holeksa (Learn To Dance). "I just wanted to write and thank you for all your help with our first dance, we got married on 2nd September and the dance went down a storm!! I'm so glad we decided to get our first dance choreographed, it made the day! Many Thanks Claire and Andrew xx" Claire and Andrew started their dance training at our beginner classes to get their basic dancing together. This allowed us to easily get through the routine within the 6-lesson package. Contact us if you want a dance choreographed for any event, or just dance lessons in general.

Antony has danced since the age of 2, and has been choreographing wedding routines since 2007. Mix-tapes, Ed Sheeran, Metallica, 90s Funk, Michale Buble and Grime are just some of the different artists or dance styles I've choreographed routines too. I've worked with people with limited mobility and prosthetics, as well as same-sex and group routines and pride myself on being able to provide each couple with a routine they can enjoy dancing on their special day.
