I'm getting married in December and I suffer from really bad anxiety and have panic attacks and don't like public speaking which I take herbal relaxes for. I've had someone say to me to take Imodium incase it upsets my stomach (pretty grim sorry) was just wondering if anyone has had to take something to relax them or settle there stomach that they can recommend?
Kalms are really good. And clipper do a really good tea called "sleepy tea" which should help you drift off to sleep when you're feeling anxious in the evenings- especially if you take a Kalms Night tablet with it
A big glass of wine about half an hour before the ceremony :) i too suffer panic/anxiety and agoraphobia but i couldnt have been more relaxed...i was just too excited :) good luck

My partner is exactly the same, for that reason we have taken all the formality out of our wedding, there will be no speeches or anything like that. The only formality will be the ceremony. It's your day so make it about you and your partner. Adapt it to what makes you comfortable:)
I use buscopan for my stomach and learnt meditation and self hypnotherapy. I also use "sleepy" body moisturiser by lush, listen to guided meditation on YouTube and do relaxed breathing. I try and avoid alcohol as it makes anxiety worse. I get married in November and have scheduled time for myself to just meditate on my own. Rescue remedy is also really helpful. Try and spend these next few month perfecting guided meditation and it won't be so difficult on the day to try and relax.
I use immodium melts. Did for sister in laws wedding coz I was all worked up coz I had to do a reading at the church. I works a treat.
Relax drops on the tongue x
Try to start taking vitamin b complex. You can get it very cheaply from most supermarkets. It will help you deal with stressful situations better and calm your anxiety. I started taking it a few weeks ago on advice from my mom and it's really helped xx
The pink drink!! Pepto bismol honestly I too suffer anxiety and I get a sickly feeling and nervous tummy when I'm anxious before big things happen. I took it on the morning of my wedding and I was great, I usually don't eat when I'm nervous I feel that sick but I had a McDonald's breakfast 😂 xxx
Or the Dr may be able to prescribe a very small dose of diazapam, like 2mg. I take it before flying to just take the edge off xxx
You can get herbal supplements they're usually used to help people with motion sockness for boat trips and flying etc, they tend to calm most people down without too many side effects :-)
I took diacalm on the morning of my wedding to settle my stomach and it worked a treat xx
Kalms and bachs rescue helped me a lot. I was actually surprised how calm I was suffer bad with social anxiety. But I managed all formalites without getting drunk it a big achievement and with a few comforts in place can definately be done. Tell u a secret was that nervous when I woke up I was sick but after that I was so calm it gets that busy you don't have any time too think xxx
rescue remedy is a nasal inhaler for nerves
Lavender anything helps with my anxiety (candles, body lotion, all of it) and for tummy issues I usually try and have a cup or two of peppermint tea-and I keep Imodium in my bag just in case
I'm defo taking a pre Imodium just incase lol I get such a nervous belly aha x
Don't make speeches hun, I'm not. All my partner is doing is thanking everyone for coming and telling everyone to enjoy the evening
I use loperamide for off tummies and mendebevine/buscopan for tummy aches. If you like lavender, as someone else said, Lush have a scent called Twilight (twilight bath bomb/perfume/body spray, sleepy lotion) and it always makes me feel comforted and relaxed. X
Try rescue remedy and start taking it a week before the wedding, people use it to help with fear of flying and taking exams also helps with anxiety as well as stress.
I get terrible anxiety so no what you mean I do have medication for it but treating it myself I avoid too much coffee before a big event to stop any tummy nonsense and I chomp down the Rennies too. I hugely recommend a large gin and tonic lol
Highly recommend prochloperazine from your GP.
Go and speak to your doctor. They are the best ones to help
There is nothing wrong with taking something to calm you down but I will say having just got married less than two weeks ago, trust me when your stood doing your vows you don't notice anyone other than you spouse and the vicar or registra xxx
I have IBS And when I have to go I have to go. So I loaded up on Imodium before hand and I was fine all day. Xx
Have you tried hypnotherapy? Best thing I've ever done for my anxiety!
Kalms worked great for me. Start taking the a months before your wedding x
Alcohol that's what I'm doing I'm really shy in front of strangers and unfortunately as my partners Welsh I havnt met 3/4 of his family so will be meeting them first time on wedding day so lots of prosecco that morning
Kalms did the trick for me :) xx
Hi I suggest you invest in a bottle of Kalms good luck :)
I took kalms a few weeks before the wedding! Worked so well and it's completely herbal! X
Don't take anything different on the morning of the wedding in case you react to it x try it before the day x good luck x
I use Bach Remedies which you can get in all forms and is herbal but definately works. Kalms are also very good 😊
My H2B has anxiety and although has medication for it when he's really bad we have some herbal stuff for it. It's called Potters calm and relax and you can get it on Amazon. Kalms etc doesn't work for him but this stuff is really good x
Id see the dr. They gave me propanalol for a similar reason x
