hi everyone! i'm the girl who asked about making people pay for their own pizza slices/burgers at our wedding. we can't swap any of the 'packages' around, as we're doing it all ourselves as it's an outdoor wedding. an open bar for us works out cheaper than us, as we'd be buying alcohol in in bulk and not hiring a bar (they cost around £2000 minimum around our area, and ones further afield, once you factor in delivery charges, end up the same). we're thinking twice now about having a pizza/burger van, and have no idea what to do for the evening food now, as it's all so expensive (we're already having our own afternoon tea/buffet throughout the day). any suggestions would be welcome! thanks for all your comments. xx
My friend did her own pay bar. So she just brought the drink and people paid a couple of £s per drink.
You no your friends/family best, in all honesty I wouldn't have an issue with your first idea free bar and they pay for their food it works out cheeper for them so whats not to like. Follow you gut x
I think if your not paying for drinks then paying for a few pieces of pizza really isn't much. If you put it on the invites if people don't want to pay they can eat before evening do? X
My brother hired a bar for his wedding and there was no fee as long as they sold a certain amount, same when my father in law had one for his birthday party.
