Hi! I'm recently engaged and planning who to have with me on the day. My best friend is a guy - and I was wondering if it was weird if I have him as a man of honour? Is this weird? Has anyone else done this? Thank you in advance :)

I'm doing this :) He's my best friend so it would seem weird not to have him just because he's not a girl!

I'm having my male best friend as a bridesmaid. I don't see anything wrong with it. They're your best friend for a reason so they should be there with you on your special day

I don't think it's weird at all. My OH's best friend is a woman and so she is being his "best woman"

I'm having a man of honour as he's been my best friend for years. My fiancé is also having a 'best woman" as it's his best friend I don't think it's weird!

If you he's your best friend and want him to be your man of honour do it. It's your wedding after all, who cares if it's not considered traditional. My friend was best woman at her brothers wedding.
