How far in advance did people book their venues? :)
We had a rough idea of the date we wanted and as the venue was available we put a deposit down to secure our date in October 2019
A little less than 2 yrs
We booked our venue in June for august next year. X

Booked the venue May time this year for the wedding in July 2019
We book ours last week for November 2019 🙂 xx
We booked ours almost a year ago, we get married August 2019 x
Probably about 18 months before but some places were struggling to fit us in for the dates we wanted already by that point (but it was a Saturday in August so we weren't surprised that it was tough!)
I booked venue in 2016 for 2017 and struggled to get a date if I'm honest. If you have a venue and date in mind you probably need to book more than a year in advance. X
18 months!!
Booked ours within 12 months bit dependant on popularity of venue it is quite common for them to be booked for 2-3 years in advance
Booking mine in the next couple of weeks so will be 2 years
Almost 4 years lol we booked it July 2015 n get married June 19 :)
2 years and 7 months xxx
2 years. xxxx
We booked ours in January this year and get married in November. We did struggle for dates, we weren't too fussy with dates so managed to get one!
15 months before x
12 months before ... It was a pure spur of the moment ... I saw this beautiful barn online that had a wedding fare happening that weekend so we went ... Very spontaneous ... We walked in and OH just looked at me and said we are getting married here ... we fell on live and booked it then and there for almost exactly a year (we knew the date we wanted) xxx
1 year x
11 months before hand and didn't have any trouble with the date we wanted
18 months in advance x
Year and a half before the wedding had the deposit paid 2 days after we got engaged as it was our dream venue
Just booked mine last week for next October!
I think Most places need a year notice as I've been to many venues that say 'were mostly booked for this year' depends on the chosen venue I guess x
just over a year
Just under 3year in advanced glad we paid the deposit when we did as venue upped prices but because we had already put the 10% deposit they couldn't charge us more this also meant we got the corkage and drinks rates for the price for 2014 prices we marry next week and our venue now charge 2/3k more than we paid xx
18 months. H2b said about it. We went on a wedding open day and both said yes. Was the second venue we saw x
Booked ours in May this year for the date we wanted in June 2019!xx
2 years - sept 2019

We booked ours in Jan this year and get married December 2018, just under two years in advance! It is our absolute dream venue!
We booked ours just over two years in advance
3 years xx
We booked ours about 18 months before
We've just booked our venue this week for August 2019. A lot of places we had viewed in January were already booked up nearly into 2020. By pure luck we stumbled upon our perfect venue that still had the date we wanted
As soon as i set my date for the wedding which was around 10months ago but the venue was free 😊😊
9 months. while wedding was booked and done within that time.
Just under 2 years xx
4 months but we decided in june 2015 we where getting married that year and I wanted my local church so wasn't a problem for time of year. Just a huge rush to get everything done but glad we didn't mess about

About 2 years 3 months in advance. Getting married August bank holiday 2019. Wanted one of the spring bank holidays but they were all booked up so chose the next available bank holiday.
We've booked ours with over 2 years in advance, we don't get married till November 2019 but we've paid on deposit to secure our date x
Depends on where and when you want to get married, some venues get booked up several years in advance for Saturdays in summer. Can also save money from price increases if you know which venue you want and book early. If you want a church wedding though, make sure the church is available too!!
We booked ours 2 years in advance, best thing we did as we got 2016 prices and the date we wanted. Also we got the last Saturday for September. Depends how fussy you are on the venue you want and date.
We are getting married may 2019... we booked the venue a month ago... and good job we did as 2 rooms were booked and we were lucky as we wanted the marquee
Ours was 2 and half years before we are getting married August 2019, we wanted September but all the date where gone xx
We've just booked ours 2 years and a few months in advance as it gives us plenty of time to pay and save for everything else.
I booked mine Feb 2015 and we get married October this year xx
We booked our in July this year ready for the wedding next August we booked both church and venue at the same time x
July this year for October next year. We wanted a very particular date and a Saturday so thought best not risk it. Plus after that you can plan all the fun decorations. I'd recommend booking within 18-12 months. As soon as you know what kind of venue you want, unless it's an incrediblly popular date like Valentines Day you should probably book at least two years away.
I got engaged in April booked venue in May for April next year
We booked ours about two years in advance. It really helped to spread the cost too x
9 months!
Hi booked in April getting married next August :)
6 months before - we only had 6 months to plan the whole day anyway so it was the first thing we booked along with registrar :-)
7 weeks lol we did the whole thing from setting the date to saying "i do " in 10 weeks
Hey Laura, 2 years xx
2 years x
We are getting married in August 2019.....we booked May this year. We booked early as venues can get booked up fast specially if they are popular x
A year x
18 months - we wanted a Sunday in the summer and there were only 2 available (one of those was our daughters birthday so we picked the other by default).... some venues have prime dates booked ahead WAY in advance
Less than a year - booked early July this year and get married next May (spring bank holiday). It depends on time of year and if you are fussy about getting married on a Saturday or not usually.
22 months booked it a few weeks after getting engaged
4 years 😂 we got such a good deal we couldnt say no!
Two years... Easy to spread the cost of the venue!
Will Munson see the sooner the better xx
