Many people send out 'Save the Date' cards as soon as they know what date they will be married. Then closer to the event they send out the invitations, say a couple of months beforehand.

In the January before your wedding. As most work holiday entitlements are renewed in January. Mine are ready to send 12 months before. August 2018 wedding.

Hi I'm getting married next year in December. And I'm looking to send them out in a month or so. As family have to arrange to me of work and that and so no one can say they didn't have enough notice hope this helps

We booked our wedding 10 months in advance and sent invites out 6 months before the date, didn't bother with save the dates ..

I sent mine out 10months before the day as some people I knew had to give a whole year of holidays at there works. We thought save the dates were a bit of a waste if money tbh.

We sent save the dates out 12 months or so before the date, but have only just sent out invites out now, 11 weeks before the wedding. Would've sent them maybe a month or two earlier but we were buying a house so wanted to male sure everything went through before printing it on the invites. Ive made my invites so I would definitely day if you plan to diy, give yourself 5-6 months before hand to sort it out because it's been a bit stressful rushing things!

Save the dates are the best idea I mainly sent these to family straight away then give out the rest as and when I saw people. X

We didn't hand out save the dates. We sent out all our invites 8 weeks before our wedding and asked for all rsvps to be sent back 4 weeks before.
