I wouldn't say so, I'm planning to start looking for bridesmaid dresses a year before ours xx

I get married in march and I've had mine a while. When you find the right one id just get them. They can always be altered xx

Deffo earlier the better, my wedding was in December and I hadn't even seen any I liked and when I did In May I had to pay an extra £30 each dress to have them delivered by the September, incase they needed altered! Good luck

My bridesmaid dress was bought for me 15 months before my sister's wedding. My weight fluctuated and I had to diet to fit into it in time for the wedding. If your bridesmaids aren't likely to change shape or are willing to stick to a diet, go for it ;-)

Unfortunately my weight fluctuates a lot and I don't diet. If a dress was bought for me now I would worry that it wouldn't fit me by next September and would need lots of altering. If it's not from a shop that alters clothes, you would need to make sure you had someone good who could alter clothes either make them tighter or unpick seems to make a hem looser.

I get married August 2018 and I bought my bridesmaid dresses last summer. Only because I got them in the sale at £23 each, so bought 9, 3 different sizes for each bridesmaid and will sell on what we don't use. They all love them and for all of them it cost less than one of the other ones we had seen. Result!! X

I got our bridesmaids dresses 4 months b4 and was a push. We had to get them altered and a new one for our maid of honer. I would say now is a good time as long as they stay roughly the same weight as they are x

get them as soon as you can as some shops may have to order them and like wedding dresses can take up to six months x

I'm having the same dilemma I've found the perfect dresses but wedding isn't until September 1st 2018. Do I buy them now and risk they won't fit in a years time or wait and potentially not find any that I want.

I've got mine...4 kids so bought ones that are probably too big so can get them altered but if they do have massive growth spurts will still be fine!!!
