Where can I find relatively cheap bands like new to the scene etc? Everyone seems to be £1500+ which is way out of my price range of £300. I really don't want a DJ either. I'm in Winchester, Hampshire.

Try KingTastic they played at my friends wedding two years ago and they had everyone on the dance floor all night. I don't know their pricing though x

Have you tried looking on Facebook? Like searching on your local buy & sell pages? X

You're unlikely to get a band for that, they'll be making a loss after travel, rehearsal etc etc.

I think £300 is probably unrealistic... a band would make a big loss on that

Check out Vamos Cantar on you tube. We are based in Southampton just starting out, we are a group of singers but also have band members. We recently played at the grovsenor casino and we are performing in this year music in the city x

By the time you divide that by the number of band members they wouldn't be making much! Decent bands all cost £1k I'm afraid.

Yeh... the only thing your getting for 300 is a disco dj. Sorry. You get what you pay for. X

I'm not sure you will get a band for that budget for the whole evening as don't forget you're paying for more than one persons wage for the night .. have you tried looking at soloists ? Not really sure where to look, maybe Facebook or google ? Or you could attend some local wedding fairs as sometimes they go to them and perform so you can check them out .. or if you have a music college/uni in your area you could see if there are any high grade students who would be able to do a set? X
