Wedding dress dilemma I have no idea where to start!! I wanted something plainish pretty and floaty not massively expensive as its just a dress, not princess as I'm not a girly girl. I hate the fishtail look and the figure hugging look. Any trusted online stores? Urgh this wedding milarky is hard! We have booked liskeard registry and are having beach pics and a lovely meal at the bowgie inn crantock. Getting married in cornwall obvs, June next year 2018 ????????
Try Debenhams.com. I didn't want a meringue or marshmallow dress or a train or all the fuss. I wanted something simple and floaty and I found it there. I bought the Debut 'Honesty' from there at £300 (and got 10% off by going to voucher.co.uk and picking one up there)
Ohhh Lisa - I know the feeling!!! My recommendation is... set a budget. How much do you want to spend, how much will you spend if you find the perfect one? I know its boring to think about cash, but it helped me and I going to get married to a cornish man i october ;)
I went with a picture in my head of what I wanted and what I thought suited me but tried all different shapes and sizes and what I thought suited me was nothing like I have chosen
Dorothy Perkins also have a lovely bridal range too x
I've gone completely opposite to what I thought I wanted. My advice would be to book a couple of appointments with bridal shops and try on the different styles even ones that you don't think you would like and you will soon find what styles suit you best x
You want to check out Anoushka G!!! My dress was called Elenore and honestly they are beautiful dresses!
wed2b shops are really good
Another vote for wed2b!!!
I'm selling one you're welcome to PM me about it? Plain-ish with some detail at the top, lovely, and a bit floaty too (depending if you want hoop underneath or not).
Try a shop called wed2b they are amazing, very helpful and have loads of different styles, I brought mine there, and you can buy straight off the peg 🙂 hope this helps no appointment needed either I see one online and messaged to see if had in store went to see it and brought it same day only dress I tried on and I hadn't a clue of what I wanted! I'm not getting married till 2019 🙂 xx
Hi go to the store with an open mind Wed2b has dresses from £99 they range from simple styles to very fancy. I am going to the Cardiff Wed2b store in the next month. Good luck :)
Be careful buying of the internet as you may not get what you wanted. My local wedding dress shop had a sale department my dress should have been 1000 but I got it for 399.
My only advice is try different styles im not girly at all live in jods and what I thought I wanted turn out to be the complete opposite. I didn't even really like my dress on the hanger but I once on I didn't want to take it off xxxx
I would book an appt somewhere to try dresses on. I went for something totally different from what I thought I wanted. Xx
try la boutique all dresses under £500 i spent months looking 4 a dress went there and found my perfect dress 4 a bargain of a price xx
Have a look at Debenhams! You'll be surprised! That's where I got my dress from and I loved it! good luck x
Wed2be huni good luck xcx
£229 from Monsoon. Floaty for a beach; plainish so not too 'princessy' but just enough of that something special to make it special....

I got mine from Dorothy Perkins got some lovely dresses! X
Wed2B have some lovely simple ones for £99 / £120!
If none of them are to your taste, try JJ's House. I've heard wonderful reviews about them! X
I bought two dresses but now only using one , therefore I have one for sale. It's brand new from phase eight a total bargain at £170 ( plus postage) if you or anyone else is interested .
I got my dress from coastal bridal in mevagissey. I got it off the rail at a bridal show at the royal showground half price, and having it altered. They were properly helpful, gave lots of advice and not pushy. Would definitely recommend them
Jjs house is brilliant xx
I went completely opposite to what I wanted after trying on dresses. I holiday in Cornwall regularly nd live the bowgie inn and the view you get over crantock beach.
Try high street shops, loads have got bridal ranges now. I got mine for £40!
Debenhams have really nice styles x
vicki b this is why we are going there we too holiday there and totally love the place, i have family there but live in cambridgeshire

I'm also having a beach wedding (in greece) and my dress is called patience by Maggie sottero. Alot of bridal shops stock her dresses.
You sound very much like me! I'm not wanting something too elaborate! I want to be comfy and relaxed! Oh and I'm also a June 2018 bride xx
just forgot to mention im getting married in cornwall but dont live there, i live in cambridgeshire, closest wed2b is milton keynes, may have to book an appointment. i have just been looking at monsoon and have found a possibility on there too. thank you all so much x
Breathe! The more stressed you are now, the worse the wedding day will be! I've organised everything and I had no idea where to start, once the basics are sorted, everything else seems to fall into place. Try getting a wedding dress shop local to you preferably with good recommendations. They have sales on too. I bought mine as a sample sale and it's beautiful. Try a variety on, ones that you can't even imagine yourself in! You'll be very surprised that it's the one you least expect which is the one! I've never liked dresses, as I've never been a girly girl either, but trust me, your wedding dress is totally different! We get married next April. Good luck!
Nice to see a fellow cornish bride xxx
Definitely go into some boutiques and try some styles on, ideas which I had were drastically turned on their heads when I actually tried dresses on! Then if you're trying to save money and want to purchase it online, at least you'll be confident that the style which you buy will actually suit you xxx
Try wed2b they are amazing so many beautiful dresses in there x
Just go and try things on! I wasn't planning on buying a dress and first appointment I went to I walked out with my dress.. it's a style I wouldn't have gone for but it was just so perfect on xxx
Just try a whole bunch of different ones! Honestly tons of people will tell you they bought something that didn't fit their vision at all - me included! You have plenty of time so dont panic :-)
Have you looked on Etsy as i got my dress from there. Its not a wedding dress but is perfect for a wedding x
Monsoon do some lovely wedding dresses x

I got mine from tbdress.com
Heart brides
A lot of local bridal shops will have sales running at this time of year as they get 2018 stock moving in - you could always book an appointment with them with a budget in mind. Try on everything and communicate what you're feeling. A good store shouldn't pressure you to buy :)
