I'm just wondering if we should supply confetti for people to throw as many people don't bring it themselves any more because so many places won't allow it? I thought either a little basket of rose petals where people could take a handful or else some little boxes. What are others doing?
I am making confetti with the pages from my favourite book
I would check the venue or place rules first...couldn't believe how many places say no because it gets walked into carpets and if it gets wet stains table linen the fine print says it will charge for clearing up. Dried natural petals from the florist with your favourite fragrance I think is a nice touch you will always remember the day when you smell the fragrance and easily cleaned up & maybe even reused to decorate tables after.
Check out Dollz Confetti on fb they have some fab stuff
We are doing this with natural petals as the wedding venue won't allow paper confetti
We got little bags and boxes from the range and decorated them ourselves with little flowers etc from there too. Filled them with dried rose petals as confetti wasn't allowed at our venue.
It didn't cost a huge amount and everyone loved them/took one home with them. I kept one and use the box for hair pins now!
We are having bubbles as there is a total confetti ban at my venu
ive made all mine and decorated boxs up for the confetti x
Check whether you're allowed first but I supplied a basket full of biodegradable for guests and used my Mum's wicker basket which she lined with some material and filled with confetti. My MOH then offered everyone after the ceremony. Worked really well
We had delphiniums as our colour scheme was blue they fell so beautiful we had little cones that were given out and bubbles for kids xx
I plan on doing the same thing - some kind of dried petals in a basket and little scoops or boxes for the guests to load up then get the confetti shot outside. I went to a wedding on Sunday and only one guest (out of about 80!) had actually brought confetti and hers was dried petals.
I've made my own confetti from dried petals and got a box of confetti cones for people to throw x
Hi all the weddings I have been to people bought their own :)
We provided a little organza bag of rose petals on every other chair. But we bought a massive bag of them for decorations so only did that because we had so much left over xx
We are having bubbles.
I'm making my own and attaching them to the back of our order of service xx
I bought a box per couple was given out in the coach we used biodegradable xx
Silly string!!!!!!!
A lot of places don't allow it but some people like to have confetti shots. I'm going to ask at our venue about it nearer the time and may supply some. Or just tell people they can only bring petals etc. I've also thought about doing bubbles instead of confetti as I think this would make a nice photo
Amy Cave x
I'm genuinely hoping that everyone forgets the confetti, but my MIL has made up little boxes.
I do love the sound of the rose petals though, much nicer than that the tissue paper stuff x
EBay have reasonably priced pre-packed bags of natural petals, we are only allowed confetti in one small area and think petals
Would be the best option! They were just over 50p per bag!
I've got confetti cones
Our venue doesn't allow confetti so we having bubbles
Some people brought their own but the venue provided it for us x
We made these they all got used xx
We had popcorn - my husband's favourite snack. We were only allowed it outside but the birds ate it all up.
i spent the night before the wedding popping two boxes of the stuff, which the ushers stood holding and folk just grabbed handfuls/
Rose petals and lavender and made paper cones x
I got pre filled bags from Dollz confetti, made a sign & popped them in a basket! It all got used! The cannons were for the confetti shot off eBay!
I've made a confetti crate for cones made from dollies and am filling them with paper heart shaped confetti in our colour scheme! X
I bought my confetti from a brilliant company - www.confettidirect.co.uk they advised on how much to buy and sent me loads of samples! Couldn't recommend them highly enough!!
Thanks ladies. You have some lovely ideas. Our venue does allow confetti and I think I will do a basket of rose petals and entrust a friend to ensure it is passed round for people to take a handful to throw. Jasmine G, I wouldn't want to part with that lovely little packet and would be inclined to take it home to keep!
I'm not having confetti I know my luck I'll have it stuck in my hair for entire day
We bought little favour boxes from hobby craft and filled them with beautiful confetti in our wedding colours from Proper Confetti - left them under the seats for guests to get at the end of the ceremony :)
