We've been thinking about doing an actual wedding 'breakfast' and having bacon sausage egg etc. What are your thoughts?

Who doesnt love an all day breakfast?! As long as people get fed lets be honest no one minds! We are having a roast dinner for our wedding breakfast because it was a bit more informal than the rest of the menu which was quite 'high end' and totally not us! Have what you want :)

What a great idea! x
To add...the majority of places that do weddings do fantastic food, so I doubt it would be greasy and not nice, in fact it could well be stunning and a stroke of genius x

My husband actually thought that was what a wedding 'breakfast' was and he was so disappointed when a lovely chicken dinner came out
Do it!!! It'll be remembered and everyone will eat it all xx

Go for it! It's your day, you may get some people who are a little surprised but I would say the vast majority would be well pleased!! X

Do it! We went with fish and chips as pretty much everyone likes fish and chips! The one thing I always dislike when going to weddings is the food so we wanted something that not only us but everyone else would enjoy, plus it's a bit different x

Go for it. I'd be happy to have a fry up at a wedding, being a picky eater and having anxiety about eating in public

It wouldn't be for me as I couldn't drink wine with a breakfast but if it suits you and it's what you want then go for it x

Have heard of a wedding breakfast that included several courses that consisted of a strong Bloody Mary, boiled egg and soldiers, cooked breakfast with vegetarian sausages and cheesecake or something.

Each to their own but you could ask to do a tastyfake ? A dinner that looks like a breakfast ? X

I want to do the same but I don't know how that would work logistically at the venue. I mean I like a fried egg... imagine trying to cater for 100 people and that could mean 200 fried eggs. Lovely idea if a small wedding but I think in practicality it may not work. I'm planning a fry up for breakfast on the day ... late wedding

I love this idea and it's exactly what I wanted to do! We went with the hotels set menu in the end because it saved money. I don't think you can go wrong with a full English- 99% of people love it, and even the ones who don't love it will like atleast one thing on the plate!

The only thing you might need to consider, is some of your guests might actually have a full English for their breakfast (especially if they've travelled to your wedding and stayed in a hotel the night before)- so essentially they could be having two breakfasts in one day.... not that that's a bad thing x

Just have to make sure it's executed well, proper crispy bacon, well cooked mushrooms sounds good to me. Some liquor coffee on the side in place of wine or fizz! X

Not for me as a vegetarian, and personally would find it a bit greasy and stodgy to eat especially with alcohol but if its what you want then go for it x

I think a lot of people will have had a full english for breakfast to prepare for the amount of booze they will be consuming, would they want it twice in one day? And then the following morning at the hotel? Seems risky. But its up to you; just watch the runny yolk on your pretty frock :)

I'd say it's a great idea only downfall I could see is - my guests who stayed over night in the hotel got a full breakfast the morning after.
But if no-one is having a breakfast the morning after your big day, then I think it's a great idea :-) it's all about what you and your other half want on your big day :-) X
