It's really hard but I've honestly found that every little helps.
I have a money box for my sons savings which gets any £2 coins and Birthday/Christmas money gifts.
Then I have different money boxes for different coins we're currently saving every new pound coin we get and must have at least £80 so far.
I also sell items we no longer use or need and that goes into one of the money boxes.
Doing that I've saved nearly £600 which has paid for our registrar and center pieces x

We are struggling a bit too. Doing homemade things to try and help but also I use some cashback sites. Simply swapping my utility bills and my mums has saved us money but gave me £32 cashback and moving my car insurance saved me £300 and £60 cashback. I'm not going to touch it and put it towards things x
