Should I take a pair of heels with me when trying on wedding dresses
If you're going to wear heels on the day, I would say yes x
You can but bridal stores usually carry some for you to try with the dresses
Yes about the same height as you wedding shoes, not only does it give you a better idea if the length of dress you also stand differently
All the bridal stores I went in had their own heels that you could wear just to get an idea. When you are going for fittings you will need to take the shoes you will wear on the day x

Hi yes if you are wearing them on the day :)
I wouldn't say it matters when you initially look - but when you've found "the one" then take heels of a similar size you want to wear - even better if it's THE ones you are going to wear.
If you are planning to wear heels on the day then yes.
I agree would deffo take either the actual shoes I was going to wear or something very similar in height as the helps determine dress length and give a better image of what it will look like x
They have shoes there I didn't take any .
Shops normally have heels in different shoe sizes to try on with dresses. But you will need your shoes when you have chosen your dress and have your first fitting x
You need them for the fitting but not really for trying on. I took mine with me as I've already bought them but I didn't wear them in the end. I took them again to my accessories appointment and tried them on with the dress then.
Just for trying on dresses to find one I didn't take any. The shops I went to either provided a box to stand on or shoes with a good heel height. As someone's already said the full length dresses are a standard length so the box is the right height to give you what it would look like after adjustments. You only need the shoes you will actually be wearing once you get to fittings. If you're really unsure though, when you make appointments at boutiques ask them if you need to bring them, I'm sure they'll be happy to advise you. . Enjoy! x
