As long as you have given yourself the 8-10months beforehand if you are getting one made then anywhen before that is good . I am May 19 and found mine when i wasnt expecting too and it doesnt need to be made so is currently in storage. Go with how you feel x

Most shops need 6 months for a dress to come in and to be altered etc. I found mine in march and provisionally ordered it. I go back around December time to order the size I need at the time (currently on slimming world) I get married 30th June 18

My wedding dress was the first thing I got. I got it all month after we got engaged and we didn't get married for three years.

If you buy off the peg then you can buy anytime. If you need to order with the view to having alterations you will need min 6-8 months.

I get married in may next year and still dont have my dress but im going to that Wed2b shop so buying off the peg so doesn't really matter because the bridal shops were out of my budget I personally can't justify more than £700 for a dress for one day

You can start shopping as soon as you want. When you buy it depends on how likely your weight is to change between now and your wedding day x
