I'm not due to get married until June next year. I have placed an order for my dress with a local bridal shop. It's by Alfred Angelo but I've just read that the company has gone into liquidation. Do I phone the shop or wait for the lady to call me.
Hi I would contact the shop as soon as possible good luck :)
Yes I agree I had a friend this happened to with pronuptia wedding gowns and that went bust and she lost her dress and deposit hun I would see where u stand x
Apparently everyone is loosing their deposits on the dress Hun you need to ring x
Phone them asap!!
I would call as soon as they open x
Call them asap - I ordered an Alfred Angelo dress two weeks before they filed for bankruptcy but luckily my bridal store has secured my dress and it's already en-route to the shop! You want to know as quickly as possible what the situation is x
This was on the website
I would definitely call the shop as soon as possible and find out what is happening with your dress x
Call as soon as possible!
Phone them although they should have phoned you!!
Iv just txted the lady that owns the shop. My order was placed the week before they went into liquidation. Fortunately the dress was in stock.
I've seen a lot of bridal stores selling off their Alfred Angelo sample dresses with massive discounts, if you love your dress you may be able to purchase the bridal store you order froms sample dress (if you wouldn't mind that and there is nothing wrong with it) may need altered but if you get a big discount it should more than cover alterations. If not I hope you didn't pay too big a deposit Good luck x
Genuine Alfred Angelo stockist's in the U.K. Have been working around the clock with Alfred Angelo U.K. Employees - who have worked knowing they've lost their jobs. As far as I'm aware most stores know exactly when the ordered dresses will arrive. A massive effort was made behind the scenes - and dresses are in stock and waiting delivery if they haven't been despatched already. Talk to the store you purchased your dress from - but good shops would already have contacted their customers reassuring them
I'd call the shop and find out what's going on, better to be safe than sorry.. leaving it much longer could be too late x
Glad to see your order was secured, my original dress was a Forever Yours and I wasn't told by the boutique that FY had closed and therefore my dress would not be coming. They did however upgrade me to the identical Alfred Angelo which is now sitting in a wardrobe at my Mum's house unworn because I have since lost 9st!
I was in the same position and thankfully recieved mine last Saturday! Hopefully all goes well for you x
Dayna Slater thank God it's not
My shop went into liquidation and there was a sign on the door asking for us not to ring as it would slow down the process of getting to us all. If there has been no correspondence tho I would ring too xx
Call the shop asap xx
Phone the shop! Also if you have wedding insurance call them too x
I ordered an Alfred Angelo dress 3 months ago and it's due in at the end of July, the shop said it's not 100% that it will come in. It's just a waiting game at the moment. I've not lost my deposit though.im gutted xxx
