Depending on your colour scheme and what you plan to do with the suits I'd get him the same suit with a shirt to match the colour of your bridesmaids dresses x

Our colour scheme is Cadbury purple and charcoal grey. All my bridesmaids are in purple but I have a female usher who will be in a grey version of the BM dresses.

I'd say same suit but colour to make bridesmaids since he's your man of honour and not a groomsman x

I would say probably bridesmaid. However you could have him in same suit as groomsman but have a waist coat in same colour as the bridesmaids? That's if the colours work together x

I'm having a 'man of honour' too. He's having the same colour as my bridesmaid's dress on his tie but wearing the same suit as the groomsmen.
We're also having a 'best lady' and she's wearing a dress that matches the colour of the groomsmen's ties. Hope this helps!

I'd say suit to match the groomsmen but maybe the shirt colour to match the bridesmaids - unless you can find a really nice purple suit. I think as long as you can see a clear link to the bridal party you'll be good :)
