Hi, Can I ask people thoughts on wedding videography? Are you having your wedding videoed or have had I can't decide, Thank you
I'm in the same position as yourself. I can't decide on a video but definitely want photographs x
We aren't due to money but my sister in law got married recently and they both said it's the best thing they spent the money in because the days goes by in such a blur it's nice to have the video to actually remember what happened.
I'm having a videographer, only because I think it will be nice to watch it and see what other people seen. When saying ours vows etc I can imagine it being one big blur so having it in video will be nice to look back x
Video is the best thing we did, photos are lovely but you really relive the day through a video , if you can afford to I would definitely recommend it xxx

We weren't going to but I asked a couple family members a few days before the wedding if they could film vows, speeches and first dance. My step grandad went crazy and hired a videographer as a gift (insanely generous). We now have an amazing 10 minute highlights video which we keep watching over and over. So worthwhile!
I did and I love watching our video. I know people who have regretted not having a video xx
I know I'll never watch it and it seems like an unnecessary expense to me. I'm happy with photographs - professional and otherwise.
Our photographers do it as part of their package. We weren't considering it at first but after watching their examples we were instantly sold! A lot of people have told me that the day goes so quickly and there's so much excitement that they sometimes forget bits of the ceremony and speeches, so having a video would be a great way to look back.
As a part time videographer, every single couple we've done a video for has said it's the best decision they made!
Hi we are not having a videographer as the funds won't stretch I refuse to go into debt even for our Wedding :)
We had a video - Best desicion we made. It tells so much more of your story about your day than photos do :-) X
Been married twice. Both times filmed. I treasure it.
We had a videographer & don't regret it one bit, we had an amazing day and being able to watch it & relive the day is the best feeling. It also means I get to see everyone arriving and bits and pieces that we missed during the day. Ours was really reasonably priced too but there are some really expensive ones too, worth shopping around x
We wish we had but the church were charging too much to allow it. If you can afford it, definitely do it.
We got a family friend to video ours
I didnt and i regret it so much. I really couldnt afford it but no one remembered to film... not even our first dance :-(
I wasn't going to, but then made a decision to. We found a reputable videographer who has packages of varying costs to suit most budgets. The sample dvd sent to us was excellent.
Best thing we spent money on. I love my wedding video so much. The photos are great but being able to watch the actual moment we got married, listening to our speeches and seeing all our guests having fun is awesome.
We did and it was the best thing I did. The whole day goes so quickly and watching the video showed me things that I had missed. Every time we watch it we see something we didn't see the previous time watching it x
We didn't, we now regret that decision as I have MS, so my memory is affected, I can only remember bits of our special day, if you can stretch to it book it up x
We didn't. Wouldn't watch it except maybe the once and it would have been a lot of money for it to sit in the drawer x
I wanted one, my hubby didnt. So I saved up for it and paid for it myself. We got the video back last week and both of us are soo happy I went ahead and did it. You miss soo much on your big day but videographer catches it all xx

We are x I recently lost my mum and I only have a small 30 second clip of her wedding. And that tiny clip means the absolute world to me. So my video is for my children. X
I borrowed a good camera from my friend along with a tri-pod and positioned it to record the ceremony. One of the groomsmen then pressed start and stop. Its obviously not the level of a professional but it does the job and cost us nothing. My plan is to use iMovies on my MacBook to make it look a bit more polished. x
We didn't have a videographer but looking back I wish we had. They can be quite expensive though, which is why we didn't go for one.
We got ours done and I am so glad I did. I saw my wedding day through the eyes of someone else and saw things I totally missed on the day. My mum recently passed away and I have all the memories on my video. I have posted my highlights to show you how amazing it can be x

Definitely get it done we did I know it's sad but there is alot of people on ours that are no longer here so we often put ours on its really nice to see them and look back on a wonderful day. People say it's alot of money but it's worth it 100% just being tight not getting it done haha
You won't regret it but may regret not doing it. I can't wait to watch mine x
We weren't, no budget too but then I found a guy who will do ceremony and speeches for £295 or the full day for £430 so booked him. He's starting out and has some good examples x
We had a friend do ours. I didnt want to because i thought it would make me feel more nervous and my husband told me he had cancelled it but hadnt. I didnt know it had been recorded until after. Im soo happy we did it. I have wedding blues but we at least have our video to watch. You get to see everyones reactions that you miss in the moment. I recommend!
We did a Facebook live video as there were many family members who couldn't be there as they live so far away xx
We didn't but I really wish we had! A couple of people filmed little bits fr us which is great...x
I desperately want one but they are so expensive 🙁
We never had one for are wedding but no I regret it coz it would been nice to show are kids and look back at in the future xxx
I'll get one of the best men to record the ceremony on my phone, not going to pay for professional. My grandad was a videographer but he's not well enough to do it.
Without a doubt, this is the thing that couples regret for not doing for their wedding. Ask any couple and they'll tell you they wished they had their wedding videoed! Best decision we ever did!
I definitely will be having a videographer. I want one person doing the whole day, and also a DRONE! I went to a wedding that had drone footage and it was just stunning!
It's some of the best money we spent at our wedding!! I'd defo recommend it! Xx
We are having a video but only because it is being bought for us as a wedding present. We couldnt decide until we saw the price and it wouldnt fit into our budget. x
We are not but I really wish we had factored it into our budget x
Yes!! They are quiet expensive but I think will be so worth it! Just being able to look back on it all xx
I had mine videod 30 years ago it was worth it
