I'm not a girly girl but I do have a very beautiful girly wedding dress....

I'm not a girly girl but I do have a very beautiful girly wedding dress. I live in Converse and was thinking about getting some wedding converse for the evening reception. Has anyone chose to wear them for the actual ceremony as well and do you have any photos please? Thanks in advance ?

I got married on Saturday, and initially bought converse to wear all day. I actually changed my mind and bought some sparkly trainers, with personalised ribbon for laces. I wore them for both the ceremony and reception. I was comfortable all day, and everyone loved them!!

I'm actually considering this now! I've bought 2 pairs of shoes (so far) for our wedding (I'm not great in heels, get pain in my legs and sore feet within 5mins). I wear them around the house every few days trying to break them in lol
I'm scared about tripping over my dress tbh either that or not being able to walk in heels and the dress I'm pretty certain no one will see the shoes so I'm really thinking I'll get away with the converse now x

I had heels for during the day and these were my nighttime dancing shoes! Was so good to have comfy feet all night :)

I thought about this too! I'm definitely getting a pair for the evening but I know someone who did wear them all day. Check out custom wedding converse on FB.

My best friend had converse for her wedding day, I would but converse just don't agree with my feet at all, they'd hurt more than heels!

I want to wear converse for the whole day, as I want to be comfortable and I know I will be in them, lots of sites do really glam ones now with crystals etc, I haven't got mine yet so I can't help you with that unfortunately x

I was 7.5 months pregnant when I got married, so flats were a must! I bought some very bridal looking ones for the ceremony but they weren't massively comfortable, so I bought trainers from primark and replaced the laces with our ribbons in our colour theme. It was the best thing I did!! So comfortable and you couldn't see them under my dress. I had my dress altered to the length of me wearing flats which helped Go for it!! X

I wore mines all day .... you didn't notice until I pulled my dress up. I got blue sparkly Kate Spade ones .... they were my something blue :), I'd suggest wear whatever you feel comfortable in it's your day :)

I am thinking the same way, you can always change the laces for sime ribbon or lace to dress them up a bit

My self and my bridesmaids all wore converse and I got them custom made from the converse website. Even some of my guest wore them. I live in my converse and wanted to be comfortable all day. Even my wee girl was in them.

I'd always said I wanted to wear trainers, my mum was horrified when I first mentioned it but I was adamant. I tried to get some sparkly slip on 'vans' style trainers from Office but found them too narrow. In the end I went with proper converse in one of my colours and got white ribbon laces from amazon & some Mickey Mouse lace charms to personalise them. My dress was also very girly/princessy but you could only see them when I lifted my dress!

I wore Nike trainers all day at my wedding in March. I was so comfortable and able to stay on my feet till after 3am dancing and speaking to all my guests. Can't recommend wearing trainers enough! Why bother wearing high heels which you will need to change out of and then wear flats which won't be tailored to your dress? It's the best day ever, why be in pain and uncomfortable?! And because I'm a PE teacher, I can wear my trainers to work so they work out very cost effective too! Wear what you want, it's your day and you should be true to your style and personality. xx
