Hi!! Has anyone had separate hen do's... So one for family /mums and one for their friends? Or should I make an effort to bring them all together? Just worried my mum won't enjoy a night out type hen.. Also fun hen ideas??

I plan to have a relaxing hen do with mums then a separate mini break hen do with friends :) keeps all parties happy and it's what my sister in law did too. X

I can see the sense in two if you wanted a really crazy night. Perhaps have a day and evening crowd? Personally it was hard enough to find one suitable date let alone two xD

I'm do afternoon tea for family and then going out with my friends after but giving family the option to come along too so it's completely up to them as to whether they come on a night out as well

I had 2, as my sister's (13 and 16) were my bridesmaids and I wanted my mum to be at my hen. So I did a family one with my sisters, mum, cousins and aunts and my other 2 bridesmaids (friends). I also had a friends hen where we did games, ate and went to nightclub

I had one but had it not too far away from home for one night, anyone (like my mum) who didn't want the night out didn't have to have one. We did stuff in the day, meal at night then had the night out. Worked really well xx

I had a proper hen do with my bridesmaids and friends in Bristol where we had an activity, had a nice meal out and then went out drinking and dancing. Then my mum, auntie and I went away for a pamper weekend in Cheltenham x

Yes I am :) I'm having a quiet tame 'retreat' type thing (I think! Arranged by the MOH) and then more of a night out hen party with others :) xx

I'm having a hen do with just my bridesmaids and a couple of friends about 4 months before the wedding, then I'll probably have a meal or something with my mum and aunties/nan etc nearer the time :)

I tried to bring all mine together they then opted for separate. My main one wasn't even a crazy night out it was hiring a house in the Lake District. So maybe have a word with older members see what they will be comfortable with xxx

I had 3 lol. I'm from derby but now live in Scotland but lived in Halifax for 8 years where my best friends are so my main hen night was Halifax. I had one with works friends in Glasgow as me and my friend got engaged 2 weeks apart and I had a family one due to mixture of ages xx

For my friend we arranged a spa morning for the bridal party and mums, followed by afternoon tea for everyone including nans which we kept quite sedate. Then after that we ditched the olds and went out drinking and dancing in the evening Worked well as everyone got a chance to come and there was something for everyone.

I'm having 2. My step daughter and niece will be 15 when we get married and my mum doesn't drink and had mobility problems so is limited so I thought I'd do an afternoon tea with them and any of my friends etc that want to join. Then doing a separate one for everyone else xx

I'm only having one but my mum isn't coming. I'm having a weekend away abroad with a load of the girls and my sister. My mum would not enjoy at all and I'm not going to bother having 2 just for the sake of my mum! She understands and is fine with it :) x

I think my bridesmaid are organising 2 for me. One which is going away for a couple of nights and that's just bridesmaids, mum, future mother and sister in law and close family. The other one is with work colleagues and other friends and that's just an evening. I can't wait. Xxx

I'm having about 4 I went away for a week with my bridesmaids, had a night out in London, will have one with my work colleagues who are coming to the wedding and finally another one with a group of friends who couldn't make my London one. I think most people now days have different groups of friends and family so don't see anything wrong in doing something special with all of them if that's what they want :) a lot of the time your loved ones desperately want to give you a good send off so do what you think is best and what your loved ones will want :)
