We just spent 17 hours researching this last weekend. I think it depends on what you want and what you need as although most insurance cover is very samey there are differences. Consider if you want the ability to change the level of cover once you have it, does it cover any deposits already paid and if so for how much? How much is the cover on cash/voucher gifts at your wedding (some policies will only cover £200 in total, others £1000 in total). Do you need public liability, personal liability cover (more likely if your venue is dry hire or your family's garden /barn). And of course, you have to consider all of this in the wider terms of the whole cost of your wedding. So we ended up with a spreadsheet with the benefits of each category for each supplier and the policy cost. We ended up going great with (to my complete surprise) Debenhams. They were actually the second most expensive gift but we bought it through Topcashback and then we will get a £10 Debenhams gift card, it actually worked out to be one of the cheapest. But we made our decision based on what cover we were getting rather price. Who's going I argue about £20/£30 if you need to cancel /reschedule and claim thousands, that's the way we looked at it anyway.
