I want to have a natural look on my wedding day but think I should try makeup to hide bags under my eyes, and to look perfect without imperfections ect ( if I can use makeup for that) Iv seen some lovely examples but can someone point me in the correct direction :-) I'll probably have a makeup artists on the day but I want to practice first so I can do my own for party's ect thabk you x

If you're not familiar with makeup maybe try something like a tinted moisturiser and a concealer for under your eyes. A light rose pink blush on your cheekbones will brighten up your face and maybe a little touch of mascara to finish it off. Nice and natural and won't have your skin feeling heavy and full of product xx

Definitely go to boots/Debenhams/John Lewis. They are really helpful and can talk you through applying it and work out what is best for your skin xxx

I was going to say the same thing about going to a department store and getting them to trial makeup on you. Although the makeup artist/counter girls may try to persuade you to buy expensive make up. I used to use clinique for years, which can be expensive, but now I swear by infallible by loreal. It's about a quarter of the price and gives great coverage without being heavy..... I've had this on since 8am. Xx

I was quite similar, I usually just stick to tinted moisturiser (Bobbi Brown are really good) but on the day I had airbrushed makeup- it looked like me but on a perfect day and didn't feel like I was wearing anything, it was so lightweight and stayed on all day x

If you go to the Clarins counter in Boots they give you a free makeover if you buy a product, you could discuss the look you want and see how products look on you before you buy :)

If you don't normally wear make up, ask a makeup artist about airbrush make up - I had this for my day, it was light, more natural looking than regular make up me and lasted all day!!! Hope you have a lovely day x

Boots will match your skin tone to the right colour make up for you they're very good it's what I did a couple of weeks before my wedding x

I use L'Oréal infallible too! Its brilliant stuff. I'd recommend using the primer as well. I use a small pea sized amount of primer from my nose outwards and then mix half primer and half foundation together before applying it in the same way. I either use a brush or just fingers. It's worth finding out what skin type you have so you can use the right products for you :)

I'm exactly the same and 28! I very rarely wear makeup. My nail lady has recently introduced me to bare minerals which feels really nice and looks natural x it's a powder foundation x

I'm a makeup artist and bride to be. Definitely hire a makeup artist and don't go anywhere near a counter they are normally absolutely useless. I would find a makeup artist now and do a trial with them. Because you will need on a lot more makeup than you think because in a photograph it will take away about half of it. So just to prepare you for this

Find a make up artist now and if you have any special parties (engagement /hen do) get them to do your trials on those days. Not only will you get your make up done for your party but you will get to see how it stands up to partying/sweating. Does it feel heavy? Did it look good in photos? Etc.

If you don't normally wear makeup I highly recommend you go to a Bobbi Brown counter in John Lewis or House of Fraser. They do really amazing natural make up and their products have amazing skin care in, only brand and make up artists that don't make me orange and super ridiculous looking x

If you go to MAC you can pay £50 and they do an in depth makeup tutorial but you get the £50 back to spend on products... bit pricey depending on what you're after but a good option x

Try this lady. She is a professional make up artist and has her own shop. She has really good tutorials and also sells some make up. I've never got it from her but have met her and she's lovely! https://www.facebook.com/beautyandtheboutique/

Go to boots, Debenhams, house of fraiser etc and talk to a make up artist in there. Be honest and don't let them make you buy all sorts that you don't want x

Some beauty counters are ok with enthusiastic qualified therapists
but many are unqualified. Try to find a wedding make up artist, they have taken courses in makeup that looks good in photos, stays on all day and will do a trial so you both know what looks good and discuss what you want. The hairstyle you are having will affect your choice of makeup too. If you're in central essex area send me a message to discuss further. Qualified people are here to help and don't cost a fortune. xx

Your local benefit counter will give you a make up lesson, they do one half of your face and you do the other.

I would start by asking a trusted girlfriend, and go to some make up counters too. There are lots of videos on you tube to show you how to apply make up, good luck x

Hi Where are you based? As Marie mentioned in the previous comment, I do run makeup workshops where I can teach you to apply makeup for day or night looks. As well as how to prep your skin and look after it correctly. These work best in a small group and are free of charge as I promote the products I am using. I would use you as the 'model' and show you how to get the look you want to achieve. I am also launching a makeup artistry business this year and I am looking for models, especially brides. Send me a message if any of this is suitable to you and we can have a chat . Thanks

Go to a boots or a large depart store and usually there are make up artists there. They can help show you what does what and what will suit you

If you don't wear makeup regularly just go to boots the chemist and get them to do a sample session. Try there own brand No7 then just buy some mascara, blusher and lipstick then buy a tinted version of your favourite moisturiser
