Save the dates: do they go to all guests or just ceremony/breakfast guests? I don't want people to get the wrong idea about being invited if they're not coming all day...
Day guests! If you sent them to everyone they would automatically think it's for the whole thing. Happy wedding planning! Xxxx
We did save the day and save the evening. As there are quite a few we would still want there in the evening so thought to give them plenty of notice too. X
Just the day to avoid any confusion x
We only sent save the dates to daytime guests, not to evening guests. That was a year before the wedding and we are sending invites out 7 months before so they'll still have plenty of notice
I would say most of my customers send to day guests only. www.etsy.com/shop/jessharringtondesign
Just make it clear on the invites daytime or evening and put times on too - if they get mixed up there's "nowt down for em" lol as we say up north
Just to the day xx
We sent to all but that's because we have a lot travelling from further afield. My partners family are from Derby way and we are getting married in Cardiff. We thought it only fair as any of our guests that may normally work Saturdays would need to book it off anyway to travel down regardless of whether they are invited to the day or the evening.
Day guests unless it specifies 'save the evening'
Just day guests according to the wedding experts. Attending a night do doesn't take as much planning as an all day guest
Hi I am not interested in sending them but my Fiance wants to :)
We sent to everyone but just made it clear on the invites.Just put different times and the evening ones just had reception details on
we sent save the dates to both and on the back of the evening save the dates we put we would like you to join us in the evening to celebrate with us xxx
Just to the day guests x
We just gave them to daytime guests! Unless people asked because it was on a bank holiday they where keen to know when it was
I made save the date for day guests and save the evening for evening guests so it was clear from the start x
We just did our day guests. After doing a bit of research online, I found wedding forums where people were discussing receiving a save the date, booking the day off work (and often the day after) for the event then finding it was just an evening invitation months later and it was a day off they could have used on something else. The few people we knew maybe worked night shifts or would have to make arrangements for attending an evening do, we just mentioned to them in conversation that we really hoped they could make it to the evening do and that it was at such and such a time on said date so they had notice but knew it was not an all day invite.
I believe its usually just for the day guests or you could send evening ones too, just make sure you put evening reception on it
We are getting married at the end of November and plan on sending save the dates to day guests about a year before due to the time of year etc, also I think it's important if your getting married mid week as gives people plenty of time to book the day off work if needed xxxx
Sent them to everyone and then will make it clear on invites!
Just Day guests, to save the confusion :)
I had 'save the date' and 'save the evening for the reception' xxx
I made my own and stipulated on them 'Save the day' and 'save the evening'.
Most places have save the day and save the evening choices
save the date and save the evening.... x
We have done save the date and save the evening
