I only have my maid of honour walking down the aisle before me, and so I'm concerned that we won't need music for very long but my song is 4:54! Will someone at the venue just fade the song out as I reach the front or do I have to edit it beforehand? The venue is hours away from where I live so I can't test out how long the walk will take but I expect it'll be pretty short. No idea how this should work!

Someone at the venue should fade it out for you. Why not ask them how long the procession walk normally takes? Plus you don't have to walk immediately after your MOH, you can let the suspense build for a minute or so.
Ask the venue how long they think it will take and get them to fade it out. Plus you can have the music on for a bit before you both enter and then a pause between your MOH and you x
I have the same problem, I was going to ask if they can play it for about a minute before I walk down the aisle.
Have the music playing for a minute or so before your MOH, then a minute then you can stroll down the aisle and the venue will fade the music out :) x
