M&S do a good cake at a responsible price!
Invites you can get off eBay fairly cheap too?
Decorations, again eBay or we found lots at local bootsale depending on your 'theme'.

eBay is great for things like paper pom poms and lanterns and you also find people sell their used decoration following their weddings at really reduced rates. It's worth a look!

We had cupcakes and a small cutting cake rather than a tiered cake. It was cheaper and doubled up as dessert at the reception.

Have a look at country baskets for artificial flowers, decorations, gifts etc. They're a cash and carry that's open to the public.

You could try making some stuff yourself like the invites and the cake if you're a bit of a baker

Wooden roses on ebay are pretty cheap, get the bridesmaids together for a girly day in and make your own bouquets plenty of videos of YouTube to help, fun day in and saves a lot. Extra roses can be used as decorations and favours too x

Try making as much of it as you can. So invites, table names/numbers, menus, table plan e.c.t you don't need much just a computer some nice card and tissue paper/ creat paper will do... you can get a lot cheap off eBay and and amazon. Also look in places like home bargains and pound land, it's amazing what you find in there for really cheap . Good luck! Xxx

I'm having a dried flowers for bouquet..loads cheaper . definitely get crafty and DIY your centre pieces, or keep it super simple and classy. Maybe just pillar candles and some little gem confetti?
I'm spray painting pumpkins white and wrapping lace (tights) around them for mine!

Do you maybe have a family friend who can make a cake as a gift? Or a fraction of the price? I made my own invitations at a cost of £27 for 52. Depending on the decor you want, alot of high street shops eg poundland, primark have some lovely decorations x

Try to find a charity that does a wedding range you'll save money and donate to charity at the same time. I'm getting my invites, thank you cards, place names etc from McMillan to bring my mum who died of cancer into the wedding.

I got loads of decorations from the preloved wedding site on Facebook. I made alot of stuff myself and called in favours from friends and family....you have to be creative. I saved us about £3000 by crafting, and using preloved items and getting help from others. EBay is a God send. Also, try vista print for invites. We designed ours and they were lovely....worked out at around 30p per invite. Xx

Try Home Bargains. They have a wedding section and do some nice things surprisingly. I've bought lots of tea light holders from there. 5 for £2 I think it was and they are the type you see in other shops for about £5. It's worth a look anyway.

You could by prepack invites or ebay has them for 99p each. Do you know anybody that could make your cake. I have heard that people have bought supermarket flowers and tied them with an elastic band and then ribbon, apparently they looked lovely, good luck

Make your own invitations, name cards, table plan and favours.
Cake get from a superstore. Guest book get a cheep one from card factory. I made all my invites and people loved them. Didn't cost much at all. Just depends if you're a craft type person. Also flowers have artificial, cheaper and can still look nice. I made own bunting and cards box. I just got a wicker basket and got some craft stuff to decorate it. We had a vintage bird theme wedding so I got a friend to make chocolate cornflake nests with mini eggs as favours. Also make up. If you have time I know someone that went to debenhams in the morning and got it done free on the counters and then went back home to get hair done.

Forget invites altogether, go on the website 'getting married' and make a website where people can RSVP and basically do everything. My partner and I just bought some Business type cards with the website address on to hand out, cost £20 altogether xxx

Have a donut cake- they look amazing and won't break the bank :) card factory have cheap invites (as long as people know where and when it is it doesn't matter :)) at the end of the day all that matters is you and your other half tie'ing the knot- the other bits aren't important :) xxx

Try the range too they have a good selection of wedding decorations and eBay. My friend got all of her invites, seating plans, table names, place names at a great price. The lady she used was really good and very helpful. Hope you get things sorted. Good luck.

If you really want fresh flowers and are getting married in a church, ask the church if anyone is getting married the day before or after and see if they will split the cost of the flowers. Same goes for your venue. Whoever gets married first pays the larger percentage. That way you can still have fresh flowers without the full cost but you may have to compromise on colour etc.

The range is great and very reasonable also try card factory for invites/ guest book! We got our guest book for £3.99 from their and it's beautiful!!! (Better then some of the ones we were looking at for £50 ) x x x

For our evening guests we've bought packs of wedding invites from Morrisons. A pack of 10 for £2. Me and the future mil will be making the day guest ones. Naked cakes are very big at the moment and fit into a vintage style theme and they're pretty easy to make, especially if you buy box mixes. You can get post box from hobby craft for £5 for a plain white one and hit up a market for a craft stall for some letters. The guest book you could buy a photo album and have a stack of card next to it. And I'll be raiding Poundland for fish bowls, artificial flowers and lanterns. Try to go to some small local owned shops, they may give you a discount if you buy over a certain amounts of one item. If you have a community centre near you you can see if you can rent chair covers and sashes from them if they throw a lot of parties. You can also save money buy having a pre-hen do and making your own favours, only the people really close to you ever save the keepsake kind with names and dates on, so I recommend going for edible (I'm making mini Apple pies). Hope I've helped! X

Instead of a guest book have you thought about getting and old fashioned typewriter and some sheets of pastel colour paper guests can type there messages and peg up on a line, you can get little wooden pegs from hobby craft shops.

eBay or vista print for invites/table menus, thank you'd! We made ours ourselves apart from the invite. Table names I just got card but them into the right size/shape.. used a fancy pen and added a little ribbon etc.
We did the seating plan by hand too! Using some old wooden planks.
I'd say take a look at Pinterest for some ideas on making things yourself.. use flowers from a super market and ask to see if any friends family are any good at arranging them. Use jam jars and decorate for centre pieces etc.

You can do it ️

we were on a tight budget, i found someone where i worked to do my cake, my invitations were from optimal print, i payed full price (with discount) for my invites but then when i ordered a sample of the service cards worked out they send 12 cards when you order 1, do i payed a total of 8.00 for my service cards, i also used amazon and ebay for the other bits, flowers (real touch calla lillies) ribbons, table decorations, i made my own table plan board it look as good as the ones you can pay a pretty penny for, as long as you have time to sit and look at sites for bargains it totally doable :) good luck

You can make flowers with paper with a little practice. They can look really effective. There is a really good tutorial on Buzzfeed.
