Do you have to have a wedding reception
Hi it is tradition but don't have one if you don't want one it is your day :)
A dj told us that hotels invented receptions to make money
You don't have to do anything you don't want to. It's up to you and your husband to do whatever makes your day special for you two
Nope, you don't have to have one if you want one. I know couples who have just got married and gone straight on their honeymoon.
No you don't have to have one if you don't want one x
No you don't have too, we got married in November and due to various big birthdays and xmas coming up we didn't do a reception, in August we are having a party for friends and family and just calling it a celebration of our marriage, you do what you want to do x
We're having a meal after the wedding but not having a reception party. X
If you don't want one then you don't have to my sister just had cake and tea in the church for hers it was very lovely x
No. I was bridesmaid to my friend who had a meal and then everyone went home afterwards which was like 11pm cos people just for talking. Xx
My mum and dad got married at 5pm and went straight into a party! Xx
Completely up to you Hun. I'm having one as I want to x
I don't understand why people ask these questions. Seriously? Do what you like. You don't have to do anything. Suit yourself.
Wedding Receptions didn't used to be a Tradition, it used to be the wedding would happen then the bride and groom would go to their honeymoon and the reception would just be for the families. You don't have to have one you can do whatever you want to do x
