Hi February 2019 the experts say 8-6 months before you get married :)

I would suggest 12-18 months before your wedding x

I'm getting married September 2018 and keep thinking I should really start on the whole dress thing.... planning on sorting it before 2017 is done lol. The thought of finding "the perfect dress" and it costing a fortune turns my stomach. Definitely putting it off! Best of luck for your special day x

I get married August next year and ordered mine last month. I would say it depends on a couple of factors. If you don't plan on losing any weight then start looking whenever you feel like it. If you want to lose any weight then I've been advised not to lose more than 2 stone as it would make alterations difficult. Some dresses can take up to 10 months to be made so I would start looking around a year before if you don't look earlier. I found my dress in the first shop but you don't know how long it will take to find the dress.

My wedding is in Sept 2019 & I already have my dress picked & I've paid my deposit! It's never too early!! If you don't want to pick it, you could have a few trips to try on styles & see which you like to narrow down your search xx

We got married last August I started looking at the end of Feb, I was pregnant up until mid jan or I may have started sooner, found my dress when my baby was 2 weeks old by my wedding day I'd lost nearly 3st and the dress was perfect x

Start looking now - you will know immediately when you find the right one. To be able to relax because it's ordered is good. It can take 6 months from ordering it to picking it up.
Happy hunting ! X

I found the one 9 months before as advice to me, after measurements and order it's now due to come back in store..... go on to the store Facebook page she's put it on sale half price was not impressed because it's a very expensive dress. So, really it's a no win situation, to early and you'll start finding the best deals to late and your cutting it to fine for alterations.... my advice if you find a dress you love and it's the one just go for it no matter the time scale because your always gona refer back to it x

I'd start looking 10 months before with a view to finding one no later than 6 months before the day. I got married in July and found mine in December.
