I was quoted R250 for a bouquet at multi flora and they do it for you. Or you can make your own one with their flowers and they can guide you. Maybe consider having a real stunning one for you and cheaper ones for your bridesmaids like plain Jip

I asked my florist to put together a smaller, £10 bouquet similar to mine to throw. The girl who caught them was delighted and we all got to take our flowers home :-)

I had a brooch bouquet so couldn't throw that it weighed nearly 3lbs!, I'd planned on having a smaller bouquet to throw but in all the wedding lead up I forgot although looking back all of my friends are already married anyway so no one would need to catch it x

No way it cost me a fortune and probably would have knocked someone out plus I had it preserved so wanted it in pristine condition!

I won't be throwing mine. I'm putting it on my Grandad's grave and taking a couple of flowers out to put next to a photo of my grandpa. My mum put her's on her grandma and Grandad's grave which is the same place my grandad is buried so mine is going in the same place.

I don't intend to throw mine, it's just not a tradition that particularly speaks to me. Plus I'm incredibly cak handed, I'd probably get it stuck in the lights or something!

I had a knitted bouquet which I kept. I made a throwing bouquet out of felt roses so my friend who caught it has a nice souvenir of our day that won't spoil

UKbride Administrator
UKbride Administrator 10 Jul 2017

I made a tossing bouquet of paper flowers- I went to a charity shop and bought some of my favourite love stories and made the flowers out of the pages- my friend caught it and it sits proudly in a vase on her living room! I kept my own and dried it

I'm making my own paper flower bouquet but I'd want to keep that. My theme is sort of origami based so I have a plan to throw something else instead. Based around that theme. But it's a secret!!

My bouquet would be to big to throw and I will be lying it on my father in laws grave after our wedding but I do think it's a lovely tradition. Great if you still have friends that are single ️

I want to keep my bouquet, so I bought an artificial one, wrapped the stem with twine and tied a ribbon round it to match our theme.
