I want my hair big and loose, bouncy curls (think beach waves) on my big day, but I have really thin hair and curls tend to drop out. I'm having extensions - can anybody recommend anything I can do to help keep my hair in place?

Extensions tend to hold curls, or most styles, better generally...that and plenty of hairspray will do the trick

I'd have the bulk of the curls done the night before and pinned. Then just have it finished on your wedding day. My cousins hair was same and I curled it night before and curls were lovely the next day and held all day xx

Extensions are very good for holding onto curls, you can get some lighter hair sprays as well that don't make the hair look crispy and still have that flowing effect. VO5 weather resistant hair spray is pretty good, and if you spray them from the bottom (can pointing up) then they usually hold better too :)

Have your hair pinned the day before. I've literally just taken my pins out slightly over 24hrs and they look great x

I would ask whoever is doing your hair extensions for advice, I'm sure they will know what products etc work best x

I had real hair extension and my hair is already long, my hair dropped so quickly on the day... no matter how many clips or hairspray was in it! I think when it's too heavy it doesn't hold as well so maybe bare that in mind! You may want some bits clipped up so it's not all weighty!

GHD curl hold spray is awesome - spray it on to dry hair before you curl it, then use a really good hairspray afterwards, don't spray too close to your hair though because when it coats your hair and goes all plasticky a) it looks plasticky and b) it gets heavy and weighs down the curl making it drop rather than stay!!!

Curls always drop out of my hair but they stayed put all day on my wedding day. I had each curl indivually pinned in place as it was being done and left it in until the last minute - letting curls cool down properly is a big part to them not falling out apparently! X

I'm a hairdresser and my daughter has very straight hair. Only way of found to keep curls in is perm or setting rollers done wet with moose and lots of hair spray. Extensions normally curl very well but defiantly talk to who is doing them about whY you want to achieve on your wedding day

I have naturally long hair past my bra strap which is thick and heavy. I have had layers put in mine which holds a curl well and gives a great volume

Lots of hairspray and dont wash your hair the morning of your wedding if you can get away with it. Talk to your hairdresser and see if they have any other recommendations x
