We haven't booked anything yet and have been engaged since November. We haven't started saving yet (oops) but I want to start looking at venues and budgets but he doesn't seem overly bothered. I feel he isn't that bothered, I've asked him but he said we just don't have the money and that's why he's not excited etc. Advise please?

Try going to some wedding fairs just to have a look at what is available in your area and to get some ideas. You could also start a mood board with ideas of what you would like. You can start planning without the money you just cant book anything. x

Hi we have only booked the venue and provisionally booked the registrar we were told that you can't book the registrar until 1 year before the date you get married :)

Perhaps he is in no rush to get married some people leave it a couple of years between engagement and marriage. We have left it four years to save. Now would be a great time to look at budgets and start saving and then he may get a bit excited, but it could just be a guy thing as we girls are just so excited after getting engaged x

Find ways of saving money and make him join even if it's only a couple of pounds a day and keep showing him your ideas, view venues it doesn't cost anything and maybe it will make him a little more excited

we pretty much started looking straight away he came with me to all the venues, meetings with the church, he also took it on himself to arrange the bells for the wedding and the organist, but hes let me to do everything else he says im more creative than him lol....he just hands over his card when i need it ,
i wouldnt worry about yr h2b he will probably get more excited and involved once you have found yr venue and started organising, most places put a payment plan into place its worth checking that out x good luck
