Im in satin, my bridesmaids are chiffon, don't think it really matters. We tried either and chose based on fit and style x

I would go satin to. Satin is very structured and formal and beautiful my first dress was french oyster satin and i teamed it with taffeta which is still shiny but not as structured. I wouldnt go chiffon as this has a more relaxed look and will jar with the formality of your dress. This time im in satin with lace overskirts and heavily beaded and embroidered , i have gone for lace and chiffon bridesmaids in two colours ivory lace on dusky blue dresses. Its a church wedding then back to the farm for reception.

I always like to see bridesmaids wearing a simplified version of the brides dress in soft, romantic hues. They're supposed to look like ladies awaiting a suitor. (An old fashioned way of thinking, some might think).

Mine is Satin too and my bridesmaids and flower girls are all wearing chiffon
