HI you can book the photographer early as they get booked up and buy your dress 6-8 months before the wedding to allow for alterations if needed . Good luck :)

I'm getting married in August 2018 and booked my photographer in January and got my dress in February (fell in love and couldn't resist) Just be mindful that some dresses can take 6-9 months to be made and delivered to the store and then you may need alterations ️

Book your photographer asap but leave buying your dress till about a year before, as so much can happen in two years

If you want a specific photographer then I'd say book as soon as you can as they'll only want a deposit. A dress I'd say about 12 months in advance, as it could take up to 10 months for it be delivered and that way it's not too far in advance if you wanted to lose or gain weight x

I'm June 2019 and the photographer was the 3rd thing I booked after venue and registrar. As the photographers I was looking at were all booking up for 2019 so I got in there quick. Dresses I'm not looking at until at least 12 months before as my weight fluctuates x

I'm a wedding photographer :)

Book your photographer as far in advance as possible! I already have lots of bookings for next year, so if you want a specific photographer or style then make sure to book early to avoid disappointment 😊

If you'd like to check out my Facebook page it's www.facebook.com/fjsphotography1 and my website is www.fjsweddingphotography.com.

Happy planning! X

Photographer, flowers I would get done soon as the good ones will book up. Same with evening entertainment. I'd go dress shopping but unless you 100% think a dress is THE ONE then don't buy it because you've got a long time to change your mind xxx

I'm getting married August bank holiday 2019, booked the venue a couple of months ago and I'm just sorting the photographer now but won't pay a deposit until next month. Bear in mind you cant buy wedding insurance until 2 years before the wedding.

I booked my venue about 18 months in advance (November 2018 wedding). I booked the photographer last month (as some had already booked up) and bought my dress in May (I am very fussy and wanted to start looking early so I had time. Turns out I found the dress quickly but it takes 7 months to make and is shipped from America). I would say look at photographers now and start having a look at dresses. See what you like, what is in style etc. You may not find what you like but you will see what you don't like! Don't leave it any later than 12 months to start looking for your dress - some can take 9 months to make :/

We're getting married April 2019 and we have booked the venue, photographer, florist, band, piper, celebrant and hair and make up as I wanted to make sure I had all the people that needed to be there on the day organised before we got to 18 months away. As soon as we hit the 2 year mark we also bought insurance.

I'm not planning on going shopping till the beginning of next year as I don't want to buy a dress then change my mind however I'm only 5 feet so know that I need to give myself about a year to get it order and time for alterations. Hope this helps and good luck xx

I've already booked my venue and my wedding not till 2020! I'm currently in the process of looking at suppliers now as they can get booked really quickly x I like to be really organised 😊

If you find a photographer/photograph style you love then pay a deposit straight away.
I would say to start looking for your dress around a year before, as other brides have (rightly) said above, it can take time to be made and returned to the shop - plus alterations.
If you're getting wedding insurance, make sure it includes anything you've already paid a deposit for.
Good luck and enjoy xx

Start booking now. I saw a post on a group last year a few days after my wedding....the girl wanted to hire the wedding band we had for the evening for a date in November this year so 16 months in advance and in low wedding season and they were already booked. We booked our band 2 and a half years in advance and so glad we did. Our photographer also was booked 2 years in advance and my dress I bout November 2013 for July 2016. It's never too early to book just make sure you have contracts for everyone xx

We booked our wedding June 2019! We got a package with the venue so they include, DJ, cake, table and venue decorations etc so we have booked a photographer and videographer for the day already as they get booked up years in advance especially as wedding season is commonly spring/summer months so they book up. I just need rings, dress, bridesmaids dresses and suits really and my nana is a florist so she's doing the flowers and I'll do the dress 6 months ish before I think. Hoping to lose weight so putting dress off till late as I know what I want so probably having it made congratulations and good luck x

I m getting married july 2019. Fell in love with a dress but it's mermaid style and always dreamed of a ball gown. So confused.

I would definately be booking the photographer now.......as all the best photographers can be booked upto two years in advance, also prices can be fixed at 2017 prices........then book your dj or band.......followed by caterers.....this will give you plenty of time to spread the cost..........most wedding dresses take 12 weeks to manufacture, but it doesn't hurt to start looking, just remember that the styles change every year about September........some manufacturers never get rid of a pattern, other manufacturers discontinue dresses every year and once their gone, their gone........it is always best to try on different styles, colours......you will know when it's your dream dress xx

Doing things quite far in advance please please make sure you get wedding insurance! A lot can change for a business in that time and at least if worst comes to worst you know you're covered x
