Has anyone ever had to tell someone they don't want them to be a bridesmaid at their wedding anymore? Or would you see it as being unreasonable to ask someone to step down when you've already asked them to be part of the wedding?

Hi my Mum had to tell one of her friends that she could't wait any longer for her to go to the dress makers and had someone else. :)

I think it depends on the reason why-you haven't given us any info as to why you no longer want her as bridesmaid so we can't really give you too much advice

I think it depends on why you no longer want them to be a bridesmaid. I think if you have good reason then go for it. If you don't have good reason then it's not likely to go down very well x

I think it depends on the circumstances, definitely speak to your hubby to be or bestie or mum see what they think?

Yes, I demoted my chief bridesmaid, not only is she no longer a bridesmaid she is no longer a friend or invited to the wedding. She wasn't there for me when i needed her and it made me realise that she wasn't a real friend.
