Will a cake topper work with a butter icing cake? We were looking at getting one of the 'Mr and Mrs X' ones but not sure if it'll sit in the cake ok as it won't be as stiff. Also who adds the cake topper to the cake? Do you do this yourself on the morning of the wedding or does the cake maker do this at the venue when they deliver the cake?

Hi A topper will work if you have a light weight one. I would say the cake maker would place the topper, you are going to be to busy to worry about your topper :)

It should be fine. I would say the cake maker should add it on the day x

Yes I think it should stay in place, and just ask your cake maker I'm sure they would add it on for you when they deliver x

We have a personalised cake topper being made. Www.cakefigures.com The lady is great she keeps you in constant contact. She posts it to you before the wedding and then you can give to the cake maker to add when she delivers the cake to the venue. x
