That's what I have put, day time only guests :-) xx

I'm planning on doing both! There are lots of people that we want there, even if they're just invited to the evening due to number restrictions! A save the date makes sure they don't have any other plans or holidays booked :) xx

I asked this yesterday too. Theres some good replies on mine if you can find it. I am going to go for save the day and save the evening. X

I am doing it for both, I've done 'save the date' and then 'save the date for the reception following the marriage' and then at the end of both put 'invitation to follow' x

Our wedding is 22nd December so to avoid people booking Christmas parties we have sent save the dates and save the evening cards so there is no confusion but everyone will know not to book anything on that date x

I didn't do save the dates, just sent invites out 6 months before to give everyone plenty of time to plan :-) everyone already knew when my big day was anyway (too excited and couldnt keep it to myself!) I only had 5 out of 50 people decline so it worked out pretty well.
Most of my friends and family have done save the dates but only for day guests - no harm in doing some for the evening guests as well. At least you have given everyone as much notice as possible :-) X

Daytime guests. If you send to evening guests they may think they're invited all day. Some evening guests may work on the day you're getting married so if you ask them to save the date they may book a days holiday then won't receive an all day invite. I understand it's so people don't book holidays at the same time but most of your daytime guests will know when it is anyway. This has worked for us but everyone is different x

I just did Save the Dates for day guests. I'm sending invites to my day guests first & if anyone can't come, I can then invite some off my evening list to the day!

Most couples only do Save the dates for day guests. But if you wanted to do them for your evening guests, then you can put 'Save the Evening' just to make sure!!

I replied to the one yesterday, I have sent save the dates to all however my all day guests Ines say "formal invitation to follow" and the evening only guests ones say "evening invitation to follow" x

I did both, but they did not work. My wedding is 22nd July and although I sent the save the dates out a year before and then the invites 6 months before, people still booked their summer holidays etc. X
