It is possible, look for venue packages that include your food & evening buffet. The place we're getting married has a few packages from £2499. Or maybe registry office with hotel reception package afterwards? Shop around and don't worry about haggling for lower prices if need be. Most of all, remember the most important thing is that you're marrying the one you love....it doesn't matter about spending loads of money! Xx

For everything I'm paying £1,500. It was originally £3000 but we cut costs down as i thought it was too much to be paying out.

We set a budget of 5k for our wedding and that includes a honeymoon to Iceland and we are £34 under budget so far hahaha... fingers crossed inflation is nice to us as our wedding isn't until 2020...

My H2B and I said not a penny over £7500 and thats for everything we wanted and pushing the boat out a littlr. But I want to save as much as possible.
I had set aside 10% for my dress. But I got a steal and paid £50 for my dress so hace saved £700 there.
Our venue is a an old barn thats being done up and is just started doing weddings so we have got an extreamly good price on that as it will be one of their first wedding.. but its deming a popular place.
I have bought all decorations myself from ikea, (spent £168 and got a car full!) carboots and £1 shops. But they honestly look amazing.
Our bigest expence apart from venue and food will be a cake. Lol xxx

We did ours for £5.5k for everything except honeymoon. Haggle, shop around, we grew sweet peas to put on the tables for decoration. We got married midweek as it was cheaper, & later in the day so we only had to feed people once. Had 70 people.

I'm not planning on going over £3000 but aiming for £2000 depending on my dress as i might wear my mums and go traditional x I've seen loads of venues that offer last minute deals. A hotel next to me reduces their £4,500 wedding package to £500 after May for any bookings made for the rest of the year. People will throw stuff at you if you book things more last minute. Also look at places who are looking to build their wedding portfolio, we've shortlisted some absolutely stunning venues with amazing reviews and the full package for day and night is £1K x in terms of your meal, you can also save a lot by going traditional as well and serving your wedding cake as dessert. Most places dont tell you this but if their accomodating theyll be happy to go with it also, theyve told me that theyve never seen a wedding cake being finished when served with the buffet lol x I'm making my favours myself and my Aunt makes invitations so I've got lucky there tbh xx but my motto is not paying full price for anything lol ! Good luck xx
