Is it possible to have a budget of £5k of under and cover the cost of everything?
Yes my cousin did her whole wedding on £4,000 :) it looked amazing and looked very expensive but it wasn't x
Can't see why not, I've heard if people getting married for 2k and under.
Yes ..... I did two ceremony's one is USA and one here , two dresses for me etc 6k
I'm doing mine for less than £2k having register office wedding and reception at in laws house, haggled for wedding car and sister in law and family friend doing photography, bought dress off the rack for £300 and customising it xx
Yes. Just shop around and don't be afraid to haggle, shy kids get nowt and all that
We had church cars ect for 2.5k xx
Yes I'm doing mine for 4k
It is possible, look for venue packages that include your food & evening buffet. The place we're getting married has a few packages from £2499. Or maybe registry office with hotel reception package afterwards? Shop around and don't worry about haggling for lower prices if need be. Most of all, remember the most important thing is that you're marrying the one you love....it doesn't matter about spending loads of money! Xx
Mine hasn't even cost 1k all depends on how big you want to go xx
We have, we found a great venue on groupon, did a lot of diy stuff like invites an favours and got high street bridesmaid dresses just don't go looking for wedding stuff as the price goes up just because of that word
Yes I'm doing all mine for under £5k that's with a led dance floor, a photo booth and a doughnut wall xx
yes do own decor like centrepiece and sashes. u can go to shops like B n M or the range, pound stretched etc you'll be surprised and how cheap but nice their wedding bits are and will save u so much money
Ours is only £3000. We are able to have everything we want, the people we want to share our day with and 2 stunning venues for that!
yes :) ours cost roughly that for everything most expensive part of wedding was my dress at £1500 :) x
Hi my budget is £5K we are doing ok so far :)
For everything I'm paying £1,500. It was originally £3000 but we cut costs down as i thought it was too much to be paying out.
We have come in at 4500-venue, hotel(reception, food, drinks package included) DJ, Piper, photographer, flowers, rings , dress, shoes, veil, suits, hair & make up and favors.
What have I forgotten??
Yes! Very very possible
Yes. More than enough.
Yes it's possible just haggle x
Can you all help me please mine is costing a fortune 😣😭
We did our whole wedding for 4000 and I had 11 bridesmaids anything is possible x
I'm wanting to keep my budget low = Calling all brides in Berkshire , recommendation for Cheap But good quality catering food for £10 per person ?????? .....,
Thank you in anticipation !!
I did my first wedding for 2500 that's including a dress that was just under 900 xx
We set a budget of 5k for our wedding and that includes a honeymoon to Iceland and we are £34 under budget so far hahaha... fingers crossed inflation is nice to us as our wedding isn't until 2020...
My H2B and I said not a penny over £7500 and thats for everything we wanted and pushing the boat out a littlr. But I want to save as much as possible.
I had set aside 10% for my dress. But I got a steal and paid £50 for my dress so hace saved £700 there.
Our venue is a an old barn thats being done up and is just started doing weddings so we have got an extreamly good price on that as it will be one of their first wedding.. but its deming a popular place.
I have bought all decorations myself from ikea, (spent £168 and got a car full!) carboots and £1 shops. But they honestly look amazing.
Our bigest expence apart from venue and food will be a cake. Lol xxx
We did ours for £5.5k for everything except honeymoon. Haggle, shop around, we grew sweet peas to put on the tables for decoration. We got married midweek as it was cheaper, & later in the day so we only had to feed people once. Had 70 people.
I'm not planning on going over £3000 but aiming for £2000 depending on my dress as i might wear my mums and go traditional x I've seen loads of venues that offer last minute deals. A hotel next to me reduces their £4,500 wedding package to £500 after May for any bookings made for the rest of the year. People will throw stuff at you if you book things more last minute. Also look at places who are looking to build their wedding portfolio, we've shortlisted some absolutely stunning venues with amazing reviews and the full package for day and night is £1K x in terms of your meal, you can also save a lot by going traditional as well and serving your wedding cake as dessert. Most places dont tell you this but if their accomodating theyll be happy to go with it also, theyve told me that theyve never seen a wedding cake being finished when served with the buffet lol x I'm making my favours myself and my Aunt makes invitations so I've got lucky there tbh xx but my motto is not paying full price for anything lol ! Good luck xx
Any tips? I'm just starting to plan my wedding so any wee things to help save a few pennies but still looking amazing are most welcome! X
