hi everyone, advice needed please!!! I'm having eight bridesmaids - mainly because I can't choose my fave girls from friends and family!!!???????????????? is it acceptable to ask them to buy their own dress do you think?x.

Absolutely if you are having 8, traditionally you should pay but I'm sure if you explain they will understand

I think it's ok, if they are close enough friends that you have asked them to be your bridesmaids then they will want to help you out anyway they can I'm sure!!! I am having 7, as like you couldn't choose between them, and a few have already offered to pay for their dresses so I guess I got off lightly there!!! Good luck xxx
I personally am paying for everything my bridesmaids (minus their accommodation) but I am only having 3, I don't expect them to pay since I have asked them to be apart of my day. But I would maybe just be honest with them and explain you can't afford their dresses, as others have said if they really want to be apart of your day they will help you out. I just would make sure the budget is reasonable.
I'm my opinion I find it rude to ask bridesmaids to pay as it's your day your vision not theirs . I'm paying for absolutely everything for my 6 . I wouldn't have them if I couldn't afford to pay for them
