What made you choose what time of year to get married?

Sentimental value more than anything, we're having August bank holiday, we met that weekend 5 years ago, got together that weekend 2 years ago, our baby was due that weekend. It just seems right :)

My fiancé proposed in August and we wanted a summer wedding

We were originally going to have a spring wedding but that would take us to 2019 and my grandad has Alzheimer's and I wanted him to have more of a chance to come so we went for September 2018 and the date worked out as being the day after our "relationship anniversary" anyway.

We tried to get a day closest to our anniversary as possible but within the school holidays x

We got engaged on Christmas Day and am getting married on 23rd December this year

We got together in march so that was our relationship anniversary. We wanted to keep celebrating anniversaries in March so that's when we got married.

We're 3.3.18 at 3pm just because I likes it being a funky date and it's easy for the other half to remember it also falls in March which is just before the high season and expensive quotes :)

I always wanted a June wedding on a Saturday and my venue didn't charge extra for peak season so that's what we went for!

We got married in June purely just in hope of good weather, we had no set time planned, just wanted to see what dates we could get once we found the venue but I knew I'd not be getting married around Xmas or anything... I wanted it a bit warmer than that time of year haha

We got married in Cyprus so decided to go for a June wedding 15.06.16 - the weather was perfect, lovely and warm (around 28 degrees) but not too hot like it is in July and August xx

We had originally chosen March for it to be a spring wedding and was the only Spring month in the chosen package but in a twist of fate, after losing our baby boy the year before we postponed it and managed to get a date in May which was the day after our boys first anniversary of his stillbirth so it gave a welcome distraction planning and having the wedding and now the month of May will not be tinged with as much sadness, and changing a negative into a positive xx

It was the best time to go on our honeymoon. You can't guarantee the weather here so might as well guarantee it while you're away! Fell nicely on our 5 year anniversary

Price lol. We got married in January, which made our dream venue £2500 cheaper than May onwards. Weather was great, pictures are great and everyone was happy. And we didn't have to skimp on anything

We're having a summer wedding simply because We want to get married outside and have a marquee reception with a fire pit and a bouncy castle and I don't like being cold! We're going for June when the wild flowers will be in bloom at the venue we want

We've gone for August, for a few reasons; 8 is my favourite number so we are getting married 27.08.2018, we wanted a summer wedding as we'd like to get married outside (hoping for nice weather!) and my h2b's Mum is a teacher as is my MOH so needed to be during a school holiday! Also should mean honeymoon is a bit cheaper as we will be going just after school holidays!

We are getting married in January it will be six years to the date that we met and also three years to the date that we got engaged

We decided based on how long it would take us to get something me money together. We wanted May initially but the venue we chose only had April, July or September and we wanted the soonest one? Plus saved about £300!

Venue availability really, we had a few months that my husband couldn't take a lot of time off in so they were ruled out but otherwise we went with when the place we wanted was available. Also cost to a certain extent, may was more than April so we picked April of the 2 dates they had!

Budget and availability. May is cheaper and the venue was available ;-) Would have gone for our anniversary of getting together but July tends to be hot and I was worried about the struggle of putting wedding bands on swollen fingers!

We are 28/4/18 ... we chose April because my Mum and Dad got married 2nd April and my fiances parents got married 14th April ... theyve been married 30 and 33 years so we decided we wanted to carry it on

We went for early May because all my favourite flowers were in bloom and made for lovely photos at the venue. We were lucky with the weather too as it was a lovely dry day but not too hot.

We got married 13th Aug 2016, because we booked wedding earlier than planed we wanted as late as possible in the summer, so we had more time to save, but before my husband would be really busy at work, and 13 is my lucky number and only Saturday they had in the month that wasn't someone else's birthday or anniversary lol

Marrying a farmer it was the only down time. We live in Canada and family is back in England we also planned it then. We didn't want a winter wedding for various reasons and we couldn't have a summer wedding because of seeding and harvest.

My OH and I are planning our wedding for 11th August next year. I didn't care about the month of the wedding, we just wanted it to be on the 11th as that number connects us and our children. (Got together in the 11th month, first son born in the 11 month a year later, second son born 11pm in 2011 and our little girl arrived 11 days late) I know it's silly but it just feels right for us

We got married on my parent's wedding anniversary as I had lost my dad a couple of years before and wanted to honour both my parents. It's our third wedding anniversary next week

May - husbands Late granny was called May, and her birthday was also May. Also, usually get some decent weather that month so it suited for that reason too! X

2 days before my 30th would have been on my 30th but register office isn't open on a Sunday xx

Our anniversary is 26th december.. his birthday & our lil boys birthdays are also december.. so we stayed clear of that we got engaged in sept so chose that. Id always choose a month where there are no birthdays or events ect happening around it x

We wanted a spring Saturday out of peak season and was realistically going to be three years for us to afford it and when we looked at the calendar, the date my now husband proposed was a Saturday three years later so went for that date. Only later did we realise it was also easter weekend so extra time to relax x

We wanted a winter/Christmas wedding so chose 23rd December as it was enough time after breaking up from school (I'm a teacher) and also leaves Christmas eve for family to travel back home ready for Christmas day.

We got married in Feb as so many people have summer weddings and it rains. At least with a winter month you know there is a big change weather will be crap... our day was lovely though and we couldn't have asked for better weather x

Wanted to go to Up Helly Aa for our honeymoon. That's on a set date very year of the last Tuesday in January so we married in Gretna on the Saturday then travelled to the Shetland islands for 3 nights followed by Iceland for 5.....it was our "fire and ice" honeymoon!

I suffer from terrible Hayfever, so late spring and summer were out of the question. Sneezing and eyes streaming through out my wedding - nope! So going for October when the weather is still alright but no pesky pollen! X

I could never have a winter wedding, i hate being outside in the cold so i would hate every minute of my photos as id be freezing and it would ruin it for me, plus everyone is always ill and has lots of plans coming up to christmas so everything is always to do with xmas! We chose November as its close to our anniversary, close to Christmas (my fave time of year) you can make things so cosy and beautiful with candles. We live right on the coast and are getting married in a cave venue on the cliffs so it will be really dramatic and romantic...and you can kinda predict the weather ...so excited!x

We are getting married in february on a sunday as the venue we have chosen we get the same decent package as in they offer for summer but at 7000 cheaper! I used to be a wedding coordinator and I have seen so many people pay much more money to have a better chance of having a sunnier day, but end up with a day that is just as cold and rainy as what we get in winter. I can anticipate for having a rainy and cold wedding day and if it happens to be sunny on the day its a bonus :) we also chose to marry on the 18th as my H2B considers it his lucky number

We were thinking Spring 18 then were lucky enough to win our venue in a raffle to be used between Jan - Mar 18. So March it is

I'm a teacher so had to get married in holidays!

We live in North East Scotland so wanted a date where it got dark before 8pm as we didn't want to have our first dance & evening reception in broad daylight (it's still light here until almost midnight in June). We also wanted it to not be too near either of our birthdays..... so Oct!!

We have gone for a Saturday in August (5.8.17) but only because at our venue it costs no more to do this. Same price all year round and any day of the week. Otherwise we definitely would have considered a cheaper time of year :)

10 years of being together ️️

Getting married next Friday 16th June, reason is 2 days before fiance birthday and that way he says he'll never forget our anniversary, hmmm we'll see :-D

Me and summer don't mix, the heat makes me ratty so wanted something in between. We married on 16th August. Perfect combination. But without realising it till nearer the day, the day was also special as it was the anniversary of the day I had my 12 week scan 6 years prior
