{"FB":true,"content":"#MEMBERREQUEST - I'm thinking of wearing a fresh flower crown for my wedding in July next year. Has anyone worn a fresh flower crown before?\n\nI love the look of a crown but I'm worried that it won't be comfortable and will be so delicate I won't be able to take it off to brush my hair throughout the day?\n\nHas anyone had any experience who could advise?"}

The only experience I have is a friend had lillys in her head dress and they didnt take the stamen out so she got yellow all down her dress. Luckily she managed to get it out but if you have lillys make sure they dont have the stamens in! x

I'm having one for my.flower girl and was advised by the florist to use silk flowers. They look real and as good as fresh flowers but are a lot lighter and more durable. Have a chat with your florist as they will have experience and will be able to advise you depending on what type of flowers you are wanting to use xx

I had real flowers as a bridesmaid. They looked so amazing but I did need to use grips to keep it secure else it felt like I might lose it hehe

As long as the florist makes them well you shouldn't have any problems. They look great and seem to be coming back into fashion. Yes they have to be gripped in place but so would anything else in your hair. Fresh flowers look lovely but I'm biased being a florist.

I'm opting for a silk flower crown. My friend had a real one and had the issue of bees buzzing round her head during the photos!

I wore a dried flower crown from Sophie and Luna
It was custom made for me using petite white flowers (they can be any colours and large or small!) and it arrived a few weeks before my wedding so that I could use it in my hair rehearsal and dress fitting which was sooo helpful!
The flowers are real and don't look dried at all, they looked completely fresh, and even now 11 months after the wedding, I still have my flower crown and it looks as beautiful as the day that it arrived :)
It was so light that I couldn't even tell that it was on my head, and it survived a ceilidh band and one of the hottest days of the year, so much sturdier than it looked! I can't recommend them enough, and Sandra who made my crown was an absolute pleasure to talk to!

I'm having a flower crown and have ordered one from e-bay with silk flowers which I intend to top up with real flowers on the day. I have ordered the florist tape and supplies to make the men's buttonholes from e-bay too.
