As we nor any of our immediate family have children, only distant relatives, we are having a child free wedding. Since making this decision that my half sister is unaware of, we have found out she is expecting and the baby will be one come the wedding. We haven't asked her to be bridesmaid yet but need to approach the subject. How do you ask someone to be your bridesmaid but also tell them to book a sitter?!

It will be a chance for her too let her hair down. How old will the baby be when you get married?

If the baby will be 1 by the time the wedding happens I think your fine to ask. She should understand that its your day, so your way

Just approach her and ask how she would feel? You might be surprised that she'd be relieved that kids can't come so she can have a night off! xx

We are having a child free wedding to, we haven't told some of our relatives this yet and we both know it's going to get ugly. However it's our day and we are paying for it and so all guests should respect your wishes. Plus I think it's so much nicer when you can all relax and let your hair down and. It worry about little ones.

If I had asked my sister this she would have said no and not come.... tread carefully.
