Are you planning your own hen do? I am thinking about letting my bridesmaid's sort it, but I am unsure. What sort of things are you doing? I don't want a spa day/weekend and I don't want a meal/night out! Ideally I'd like a weekend in Amsterdam, but I don't think I will do that as it won't take everyone's fancy. Wouldn't mind some ideas!

I am planning mine. Do something you've never done before? Or a workshop, like learning to do something new?

It's your hen do and it's about what you like, not what everyone else likes. If you want to go Amsterdam then put it out there, you'll be surprised how many people will probably fancy it :) x

My girls are planning mine for me, but my fiance has planned his alongside his best man.

Even though they planned it, I told them what I really didn't want and gave them some pointers of what I'd like to do and then let them roll with it. They all know me fairly well so I'd like to think someone would say something if there was a suggestion I wouldn't like.

My maid of honour was amazing, she listened to what I wanted and then she went off and planned it to the best it could possibly be 💗

I intended to plan mine but my hens have taken it out of my hands and all I know is when it is and what city it's in, I completely trust them to do things that I would enjoy however i'm such a control freak the not knowing is driving me crazy! x

I've had to plan my own. I'm going to Dublin for the weekend. I've booked it all through a company called last night of freedom. They've been really helpful. I've been dealing with a guy called Daryl Patterson! xxx

I doubt i will be having a hen do at all.. My MoH, & BM live miles away, & costs alot for them to travel so can't expect them to do extra. And 1 doesnt drink alcohol.. Other 2 BM are too young. I don't really do "going out" anymore, so have very few friends to ask, so its bit awkard.. i will just have to wait & see what happens..

I've booked the where (Dublin, a lovely apartment) and flights (everyone paying for their own) and have given my MOH (my little sis) suggestions as to what to arrange while we're there so I know I'll love where we're going and I trust her to organise fun things for us while we're there (we're away for 3 days and 2 nights), I'm also her MOH and we'll be doing the same with her hen party

I planned mine as I knew what I wanted to do. 7 of us went and did Go Ape in the morning, we got back to mine for 3ish and cracked open the bubbles while getting ready to go out. About 14 of us went out for drinks and dinner then we went to a private karaoke bar (where you can hire group private booths) where we sang the night away

Just came back from 4 days in Malta, best decision ever. Planned my own and certainly didn't regret it. Rented a villa with a pool, hired a car for a tour of the island and a yacht for a private cruise. Absolutely loved it!

My sister/moh planned mine with my mums help. They wanted to do a surprise weekend away for me but not many of my hens could afford going abroad. Had an amazing time anyway and they did a brilliant job on my behalf :-)

My bridesmaid and I each had a three part hen do so people could pick and choose what they wanted to do. And we each had suggestions from others, though ultimately it was our decision. I did an outdoor adventure course, a nice meal and karaoke

I told my maid of honour what I really didn't want to do, and she planned the rest! Part way through her planning I told her that I'm pregnant! :D so she had to change a few plans but we ended up having a fab afternoon in Manchester having dinner and then watching greace!! It was an awesome day!! :D just what I wanted!! :) there's a reason you have picked these girls to be in ur bridal party, cause they know and love you! So have some faith in that! :) xx

My hen party was in Amsterdam and everyone loved it including my mum! There is so much to do there that you can do things everybody will enjoy. I sorted the hotel and flights and then left it up to my girls to plan activities. It was such a fun weekend :)

I'm going to plan mine with input from everyone, I'm too much of a control freak to completely let someone else do everything.

I planned the structure of the day myself; chocolate class, dinner, then games and drinks in an apartment we rented for the night! I let the bridesmaids plan the games and decorate the apartment etc. Was a good day, and didn't work out too expensive!

All i did for my hen do was pick a weekend that fell around most peoples pay day. My maid of honour has organised the rest. I have no idea where we are going or what we are doing.. 3 weeks sat i will find out x

Do what u want!!!!! Don't worry what everyone else wants to do. It's your hen and you only get 1. I organised my weekend away to Majorca and said what price I was looking at, if people wasn't interested that's fine, but that's what I wanted to do! Worked out cheaper than going London for 1 night! And it's all inclusive! I also arranged a meal out here.
Forget everyone else. People who love you and see you as a true friend will do whatever you want to anyway! You'll soon see throughout planning, so do what YOU want!

I've just come back from my hen weekend in amsterdam and it was brill!! I chose 3 places I'd like to go and gave an idea of the things I'd like to do for BMs to arrange. I found out there was a bit of difficulty so took over the arranging of getting there and where to stay but they arranged the rest. There is something for everyone there. You don't have to do smut or get stoned/drunk either. We did prosecco bike tour, segway tour and the ice bar as planned activities and the rest of the time we took it easy. Good luck!

We just got back from mine. My MoH planned the entire thing with the help of the other bridesmaids! I wasn't allowed to know anything other than the date we were going! Ended up doing 4 nights in Marbella and it was incredible! We did everything from cocktail making to a spa day to amazing dinners and nights out! If Amsterdam is what you want to do you totally should!

My chief bridesmaid sorted my hen do out. It was all a complete surprise.
It was Harry Potter themed and it was amazing!!!
Just booked a room for the evening and then onto cocktails afterwards

I couldn't have done a better one myself if I had years to plan.
She put so much effort into it it was unreal. More than I have for my wedding I believe

I want to do it all over again.

Coasteering and clay pigeon shooting sat, harry potter afternoon tea on Sunday and drinks, food and some games/hot tub in the evening all I knew was the date and the hot tub lol I just told moh and bms what I wouldn't want and they sorted it from there x
