How many of you are giving male and female guests different favours? I was just planning on giving everyone the same but apparently it's not the done thing!

I am giving all my guests the same, just a jar of homemade jam :)

Everyone is getting the same thing from us - some locally made fudge we can get at wholesale prices.

If my budget allows after i have feed and watered them they will more than likely get the same depending on what it is i have decided to do if anything the children will have different but im thinking of getting all the same or even doing 2 uni sex ones so they are able to pick what they want, in my experience half of them get left on the table and forgotten unless its edible lol x

I am planning on giving everyone the same favours. It just makes everything so much easier and if there are last minute changes to the seating plan or guest list it doesnt matter.

I guess it depends what the favour is - is it something both genders will appreciate (e.g. chocolate!) Everyone is having the same at mine - a pinecone fire starter which matches our winter wedding theme. I may get something different for the kiddies though as I don't think they will appreciate a fire starter lol

Traditionally it would have been the same for all. They were just a european custom not british. They used to be bags of sugered almonds!
