Hi all me and my htb are wanting to get married on our anniversary, the only problem is is that its at the end of november. So bit worried that we wont be able to get any nice outside photos. Has anyone got married then and what did you do about photos?
We were 16 November and we were not getting any outside Ines done, however the day of our wedding was 17/18 degrees and lovely sunshine! As we hadn't planned outside pics, we just did indoor and they all came out lovely xx
We got married December 11th, and had lots of outside photos. Doesn't matter what time of year it is though, as it can always rain, so whenever you choose, have a contingency plan for rain.
Getting married on the 25th this year and just have fingers crossed for a crisp wintery day but if not going to invest in some strong brollies, my venue has lovely grounds so it'd be a shame to miss out on some outside shots just because of rain!
I'm a photographer. Check the time of your wedding against the sunset times where you are. The light may be gone very fast. I live in Weymouth and sunset around November is 4-4.30 (https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/uk/weymouth?month=11&year=2017). If your wedding was 3pm and it's at the same venue you'll be finished by 3.30 and outside - but that would only give you a half hour to an hour to do group shots and romantic shots of the two of you. Go for earlier in the day and you'll have more time to play with.
Your photographer will (should!) have a backup plan for where to do groups and shots of the two of you indoors if the weather is bad. If it is "dry" the grass may still be wet so be prepared for that (some trainers or wellies) if you're wanting shots in some grassy place away from the building.
Also ensure you've got something to cover you up - it could be windy/damp/cold and whilst you may want to brave it for some photos don't get frozen!
Hope that helps. If you need more just ask. :D

Me and my partner are the same our wedding is on the anniversary of our engagement so this November we are getting married on a castle and the photographer we got told us loads of different ideas for photos there
We got married November 5th and got plenty of outside shots, mostly it was the cold that caused the issue ! C
I'm getting married on the 25th November this year on our 10 year anniversary ️
Me and my partner are doing the same, anniversary is 16th Nov so have set the date for 17th Nov (otherwise would have to wait another year lol). And personally I'm hoping for a little bit of weather people would call bad, I'm planning on wearing Welly boots and getting some for my bridesmaids too for an awesome outdoor pictures and if it's raining the groomsmen can be there holding the umbrellas. You can get so creative, and really in winter you can plan for bad weather and have the best day, in summer you don't prepare for it and get stuck. Good luck with planning xx
We got married on 29th November 2014. The weather was slightly chilly, but not unbearable.
Most of our group photos were outside and with the right photographer (ours was amazing) you can have the most amazing shots. Obviously you will need a back up plan in case of rain, but if it's dry you could have the best sunsets andighting for your photos.
Good luck xxx
My mum and dad got married on 28th november ( 30 years ago this year ) in christchurch dorset and there photos are AMAZING!!!!
We are getting married on 26th nov, I had the same worry but last year around that time it was so bright and clear just a bit chilly, fingers crossed for the same this year!
I got married in February and we had a lovely day. Had the ceremony at 1 to ensure we had light afterwards.
We are getting married on 12th November this year. Our photographer is amazing so I have every confidence that the photos will be great no matter the weather.
Went to a 26th Nov wedding
Beautiful colours on the trees
Made perfect pictures
We are the 24th November this year. We are hoping for a crisp wintery day but our photographer has plans in case it's raining
I went to 3 December weddings last year and it wasn't a problem! All of them had nice photos outside, and inside!
Photographers will know the venue know of alternative shots of the weather isn't great. I think as long as it's not raining/snowing then weather wise you'd be ok for photos!
I got married 31st October and the weather was lovely xx
We got married on the 4th November and chose the venue because the amazing inside space. It poured all day but gave us just a break to get a group out door shot and a couple of evening photos. I didn't notice the weather at all, our venue was huge and the photographer was amazing. X
Hi, have a look on our Facebook page, we have photographed wedding in November and December - www.facebook.com/ataleoftwo.co.uk
We're doing exactly the same with our January wedding and hoping for snow! If not we'll buy umbrellas and make the most of it! Life is too short to care about the weather! Your marrying the love of your life ️
This was us middle of October! We had to crack on with photos for sunset times x
Hi no matter what time of the year you marry you can't depend on the weather :)
I got married in march and as much as I love outdoor wedding photos I had mine take inside with a backdrop the venue provided.
It's the UK, if you get married in July it's still likely to be cold and raining we've gone for the start of November because the weather just isn't reliable and it can be a lovely time of year, if you have a good experienced photographer they will have had to do a plan B before due to weather, it will be fine
Have a chat with your photographer and venue and see how they can make the most of the inside shots. Then if you can get outside it is a bonus. Take a few brollys and even if it is raining you can get a few outside.
