Right, this is one for the creative folk out there... We have a break of a couple of hours in between the day and evening. It was a conscious decision as we have young children attending the day who wont be attending the evening and so wanted to give people time to sort out their childcare etc, me and my future hubby also wanted some time where we could spend some time alone to digest the morning etc. However, i want to make those who are attending for the full day aware that there is a gap, i was wondering if there was a way of wording it into a poem for the invitations?

Why not just include an 'order of the day' in with your invites? For the break you could just say - rest break to recuperate your feet ready to dance the night away xxx

We had a few hours inbetween too but it goes so fast people chatting & having drinks we didnt even notice the time had past & it was party time. U hav all night with him after the wedding! Make the most of ur day dont hide away, think of all the money u spent & all the effort guests went to, enjoy the day with everyone

There's always photography gaps in weddings and that's to be expected but I think an order of service would be good so guests know what's happening

We have sent out day and evening invites to everyone, that way they know about times in advance and can decide to go home for an hour or so or just relax by the bar ;) xx

Been to a wedding fayre today and there is a company which has large wooden games (like connect 4 and Jenga) which sounds like a great idea! The kids love it and then the adults take over xx

You could buy some lawn games, and then write an order of the day, list out everything and have a space for 'lawn games and relaxing' or something like that? I did an order of day just so everyone knew what to expect especially as we've got canapés and I didn't want people to worry about being hungry or full depending on if they eat before etc! X
