Hello fellow b2b's! Just wondering when you are starting to go dress shopping? I am on a strict diet and hoping to lose as much weight as possible before I have to look for a dress! We have just over a year to go til the big day.
Hi All the guides say about six months before the wedding but I have been already just to see what style suits me :)
People tell me you need over a year, I am refusing to go until I lose the weight, so probably 6 months before as Lucy said :)
I have bought a dress off the peg and so I only need one dress fitting six weeks before the wedding. I picked mine 6 months before.I think if you're having one made, you need more fittings; but I might be wrong. Message some shops you plan on visiting and see what the latest is you can go?
I was advised that I needed to find my dress at least 8 months before, this is because it can take 6 months to take delivery of the dress, then a further 2 for the final alterations etc x
Some dresses can take up to 9 months to arrive but most take less. I wouldnt leave it any later than 6 months but do contact the shops to see on average how long they recommend. Good luck!

Personally I'm not going to start looking until about 1 years - 18 months before the wedding, so I'm aiming for about this time next year. However, I say if you want to start looking/trying things on now then why not?! All part of the fun is trying on loads of dresses :)
