When I went they said it takes around 8 months so by the time you find the one you like it gets made then you have to try it on for alterations etc all depends on the dress and the designer. Don't leave it to late as you may restrict what dress you get! Good luck and hopefully you get to the size you want xxx

Well done on you loss so far!
I'm getting married July '18 and I've still yet to start my diet >_<
I plan to start properly looking in January, have already spotted some I like so I know what I'm kind of looking for! x

I'm getting married in May next year, and my baby is 6 months old, I want to drop 2 dress sizes by then. I went dress shopping because of the time needed to have it made 6-10months. I have ordered one after a lengthy discussion with the shop manager and she said that is what alterations are for, she said try not to put on weight or get pregnant lol, it was in the dress t&c's! So I'd start shopping now.

No get shopping it will take you ages to look for the right silhouette then you can always alter it if theres time. It takes about 9 months to get a dress ordered so get on with it!!

Some people take time to shop I mean im getting married April next year and I shopped in 3 shops in one week spent 2 hours in each boutique and fell in love with the the 15th dress (I counted yes😂) but that's just me, luckily I got it now because it won't be paid off till January February time :) depends if you have a fair bit of money aside to pay for it if so then I say wait if you don't starting now and finding the dress of your dreams might be an option x

I am waiting, people keep telling me I need to go dress shopping. Some people leave it a month before. I will go when I have lost the weight! :)

Just be prepared to limit your choice and it can take 9 months to have a dress made, they are not all off the peg, many are made to order, that means when someone orders one it is then made up , not the same as custom made which is made to the design of the bride. Mine took nearly a year to make even thoufh the pattern was there! Things get delayed to. So if you dont care about choice and cost leave it as late as you want.

I'm not getting married till April 2020 and my weight can change Daily by 2 dress sizes, , I found my perfect dress by coincidence when I wasn't dress shopping, don't you buy until you find the perfect dress, it can easily be taken in xx

I personally would be looking now if it was me as I'd want as much choice as poss and then can always have it altered x

It can take up to 9 months for a wedding dress to come in once ordered, but they should be able to do it in 6 months, so you do have some time, good luck x
