Nobody else's opinion matters. It's your day so the both of you should have it just how you want it. My fiancé and I are both a bit nerdy and love gaming etc so we're going throw hints of that into our day. Go for it and enjoy.

I'm having a Disney themed wedding but keeping it simple! Making my own centrepieces by buying bits from charity shops; a teapot and teacups for Alice in wonderland, shell boxes with 'treasure' in for little mermaid etc :) xx

Do it. My theme was harry potter inspired. We had a 'yule ball' set up with lots of candles sparkles and beautiful round tables then has stuff like wands as favours, stuffed toy owls from the owlery for the kids, a sorting hat, there were broomsticks and things about too. I loved it. I had to make a lot of things myself but ordered supplies from ebay hong kong amd it wasnt expensive at all. I can post some pics of you like x

We are having this as a subtle theme as well. I love Disney and my fiancé loves marvel so we will have some hints. Wish I could say on here what we are having but will give it away to any guests who read this!xxx

Go for it!! We're having a musical theatre theme in memory of the grooms mother so tables as certain musicals phantom, les mis etc musical numbers playing during the reception, a 2nd photographer to take pics on the red carpet as people arrive and then the grooms speech is going to be a mini awards ceremony for the bridal Party xx

Do it!! We had my husband's football team as our colour scheme and all the little bits disney themed. I made all my table numbers, kept them simple with frames from the range 2.99 each and printed the inserts myself, found a cake topper on etsy where you could choose your favourite disney princess with your favourite super hero and we had a little girl in the middle as we have a daughter. Doesn't have to cost a fortune and nobody else has to like it as long as you do! When we told people our themes alot turned their noses up but everyone said how amazing everything looked.

Definitely, having a simple beauty and the beast theme with princess tables. Searching the Internet and getting things bit by bit saves some money and gets u good deals
