Hi all! I'm due my period over my wedding day . My doctor has prescribed me Northisterone , so I can delay my period until the day after the wedding ( not going on honeymoon until a month after ) Has anyone got any experiences of taking these tablets . Ive currently got the copper coil ( non hormonal ) but have used pills and other hormonal contraceptives before . I was ok on them , no major side effects .I've been silly and googled it ! Now my head is filled with all these horror stories about side effects including emotional breakdowns & diarrhoea... if this is true , I'd rather just have my period :-) tia x
I have been considering taking something if I am due on or around the date I get married. I will make read all about the pros and cons first though :)
I took northisterone to delay my period until after a beach holiday with friends (I'm usually rather heavy with bad cramps) and was fine throughout the holiday, but it seemed to take a couple of months for my period to get back to normal.
