Who did you (or are planning to) take to go wedding dress shopping? ??
My 2 moh
I first took my best friend who was my chief bridesmaid n my sister then once I had chosen my dress I took my mother in law and my grandma (my mum has passed away) xx
My mum, my grandma, my maid of honour and probably mother in law if she wants too x
I'm taking my sister and my Bestie can't wait
So far I've been taking my friend who works in bridal. Good to have someone who works in that field and knows what they are on about it was originally planned that my mum and my maid of honour would attend with me but due to work and other things they are unable to do this with me. I'm only sticking with maximum two people and my children (9,4,2) nice to have them included in everything.
Really it's up to you who you choose to take with you. At the end of it it's only going to be what you want anyway they are just there to advise and support x
Just my mom and MOH, my other bridesmaid would come too but is currently working abroad. I'm sure she'll definitely come along to everything she can as soon as she's home so then it'll be my mom and both bridesmaids :D
I just took my mum and maid of honour xx
Just my mum. The way she looked at me when I found my dress confirmed that I'd found "the one".
Sister in law to be, maid of honour, maybe my mother and possibly my mother in law to be (get on better with her than my mother)
My mum and my sister xx
I found my dress in the first bridal shop I went to! I took my mum, mother in law, and my sister (who's also my maid of honor)! Then I went back to try my dress on again with my bridesmaids! X
I just went with my mum as I'm easily swayed by others. Took my bridesmaids to my fittings. Can't wait to put my dress on this Saturday. 6/5/17 xXx
Mother in law to be, 2 friends (would have had mum and sisters too if they didn't live opposite sides of the country) xx
Just mum. Not even my bridesmaids are seeing dress until the day
Just my mom. Didn't want too many opinions as that can sway your own, also I want it to be a surprise for everyone, not 5 people telling everyone they know what my dress is like.
I just took my mother in law, as my mum passed away a long time ago. I was able to keep my dress and how it looked on me a secret from some people until I was walking down the aisle.
I took my dad, mum, mother in law and sister :)
I expect that I'll probably go alone, I'd like to have at least someone I know there, but to be honest it will probably end up just being me.
I went with my mum, moh and 9 yr okd daughter- she was the most opinionated!!!
I took my Mum and a friend who I knew would give me an honest opinion good or bad x
My mum and gran, and my little 9 month old girl was there but she doesnt really count and just kept getting upset when I disappeared around the curtain
I took my mum and my sister (my moh). They were very honest and I couldn't of taken any one else. X
My bridesmaids and mother in law 2 b as my mum is no longer here.xxx
I took my mum and 2 bridesmaids (sister and one of my best friends). It was good to have the opinions of multiple people. I got a dress that mum, by bridesmaids and I loved. Xxx
im taking my mum, my nan, my 2 sister in laws and my daughter x
Best friend, maid of honour as she is brutally honest lol xx
I planned on bridesmaids and my Mam but i went on spec with my Mam and ended up with my dress xx
I just took my mum when I first started looking and then when I found the one I took my gran with us because she was the one paying for it for me and I wanted her to see it.. when I go for my first fitting in August I'm taking my mum, my other gran and my maid of Honour
My mum and nan ️
First time I went I went on my own. Second time with one bridesmaid. Third time with my other bridesmaid. :)
My mum and bridesmaids x
I took my mum on my first trip and then when i thought i found the dress i took mum sister and best friend (bridesmaid)
It will be my wife be and family
It was just my mum that went with me to the first few places and once we got a better idea of what suited me and we liked, I took my bridesmaids as well. I wanted to take my mother in law to be and sister in law to be but I said yes to the dress before I could do that!! Will be taking them to the fittings though
I took my mum, my godmother and my maid of honour
My mum came with me cos I had seen a dress I loved and we were both off that day. Went on the off chance we could get seen. I loved the dress. I then took my sister, dad and mil to see the dress before I ordered it. X
My moh and my daughter
Moh and mum xx
I took my mum xx
I went by myself as I didn't want everyone's opinions on what they wanted! Worked a treat, lady in the shop was amazing x
Just my mum dont take too many as peoples opinions can ruin it x
I'm taking my mum, mother in law to be, MOH (who is my sister) and one of my best friends - going to make it a nice girly day out xx
No one
Mum!
I'm taking my mom and MIL x
My mom and 4yr old son :) "mommy you look like a princess" :)
Hi I am taking my Mum, Bridesmaid and her Mum :)
My mum and my bridesmaid who is my only daughter. Mum passed away a few weeks before the wedding, so I was so glad that I had taken mum with me, and that she loved my dress xx
My mom. Moh and my daughter.
I took my mum my two sisters and my mother in law
I'll be taking my two closest friends and my mother 😊
I went by myself as I wanted to concentrate on what I like and what I didn't, rather than other peoples opinions confusing me!!! The ladies in the Bridal Shop were great-I would value their opinion more than anybody elses as they see so many dresses on many different shapes and sizes.
My mum, his mum and bridesmaids
Took mum, my moh, another good friend and my cousin who is also bridesmaid. X
I just took my mum and sister who was MOH, most places don't have the room for you to take loads of people and it makes it hard to pick with too many opinions!
I went with my mum, sister who is a bridesmaid and best friend who is chief bridesmaid then i went back to the same shop a second time with my mum and step dad and chose my dress.
I took my dad my moh and my bridesmaids I know it's not known for a dad to help pick a wedding dress but my mummy passed away x
My mother and MOH I took with me. I also got them to pick a dress to try on x
I went with my Mum to the first couple of shops, then with friends to the last one where I found a dress I liked, so I took my Mum and another friend to the next appointment. I ended up choosing a completely different dress :)
I went on my own .... I tried asking my married sister but she cancelled as too busy .... I didn't wish to miss the sales so continued the search on my own .......
Eventually on a Tuesday on a February I discovered the one I liked at last .... Returned on the sat with 1 of my bridesmaids who was free & I other friend to double check they thought it was ok .... & yay it is the one !!
.... The main person who helped me make up my mind was the dresser in the shop ...she was really gifted & got me to look at one more when I was unsure .... She made a difference !!!!
I went on my own
Mum
My bridesmaid and daughter
My mum came with me as bridesmaids were busy on day of bookin
My mum and sister :)
My mum my sister and my maid of honour
My two daughters and mum xx
My mum, my maid of honour as I'm only having one bridesmaid and my future mother-in-law :) X
Actually found 'the one for me' all by myself!
Me and my mum that all who went my mum only knows what my dress is like :)
I went with just my mum, when I went to collect my dress I went with my mum and my mother in law to be xx
On my own. I had to as we're travelling and I had no idea what I wanted but it only took one shop and one hour! Really happy.
mother and only my mum,i don't wont anyone seeing it but her until the wedding day
At least my maid of honour, mum and auntie then bridesmaids if they can make it / want to come.
First time I went alone, but the rest I took my bridesmaids and my mum (mil lives 300 miles away)
Clare Lily this is the page I was talking about. Really worth a follow. It kept me calm all the way through the planning cos you see that other brides have all the same questions you have and feeling exactly the same as you :) always here if you want any help even just a soundboard to bounce ideas around :) xxx
