Hello, I was just wondering how much people spent on their weddings. My fiancee and I were supposed to be having a budget wedding but I found the most perfect venue today food etc included for £8500. Is this too much to spend on a venue??

Our wedding is costing just over £6000 for everything. Our venue cost £3500 for everything, all day with sot down meal for 64 people then reception with buffet and DJ for 110 people xd
It probably depends on where you live, I'm in the Midlands and its £3500 for sit down meal for 40 and 70 on the night at a lovely hotel with amazing grounds
We've just spent under £4000 for the whole wedding!
We are having 50 day guest with 3 course sit down meal with canapés and Champlain on arrival, plus DJ, table flowers, BBQ on the evening for 100 guest is costing us 6000. Witch I though was so good.
That's a hard question to answer. It depends what time of the year you are having your wedding, where in the country you are, what type of venue it is, how many people it's for and what's included in the package. That could be a great deal or a rip off, only by comparing it to what else is out there in your area will you know if it's too much.
My wedding is costing 15000 . Our venue is 6000 we are not having a wedding breakfast . Everything adds up quickly we have a venue dresser they 700 pounds flowers 900 my dress was 1400 bridesmaid dresses was 1500 hair and make up is 670 it adds up quickly and that's before presents rings suits and any extras
Im saying no as i thought i was saving not going to a hotel and weve spent £12,000 so far!!!
Depends on how many people. I am having 50 guests and mine is £6000 for food, drinks package and venue x
Does this include your dj, table centres etc? X
If that's within your budget, isnt going to break the bank then go for it x
It completely depends on the wedding you want. I am having 110 guests day time and about 20-30 more evening guests. The venue is in cambridgeshire and I am doing it off peak in February on a Sunday to keep costs lower, venue is still costing me around £8,500. I am estimating my whole wedding minus the honeymoon will cost around £16,000-£17,000.
