the average wedding is apparently between £15,000 and £20,000 but saying that my first wedding cost me between £2,000 and £3,000, this time round my partner and I will be saving up for a while and hope to have between £10,000 and £15,000 to spend

The average UK wedding is upto £24,000 at the moment. However it is whatever you and your partner are comfortable to spend. We have received contributions from family which has made it easier but we will still be saving £6000. Sit down with your other half talk about the type of day you would like print off an average price list for a UK wedding and set a budget that way if you are unsure.
